Apayao State College (ASC) joined the ranks of world-class institutions, securing 166th place among the Global Top 500 Innovative Universities in the newly released World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2026. Building on this global recognition, ASC demonstrated notable performance across key governance and innovation indicators.

The college placed 3rd in Entrepreneurial Culture & Ecosystem (A4), 15th in Cost-Effectiveness Management (B7), alongside Ifugao State University, Saint Mary’s University, and Urdaneta City University. It ranked 24th in SDG and ESG-Based Responses to Global Challenges (A8), shared with Jose Rizal University, and 35th in Visionary Leadership (B1), together with Davao Oriental State University, Misamis University, National University Baliwag, and University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Las Piñas Campus.

The institution also posted strong results in academic and community-driven innovation. It ranked 38th in Representative Research Projects (C1), tied with Bukidnon State University, Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna, and Samar State University; 40th in Social Impact Through Knowledge Transfer (C5), alongside Universidad Científica del Sur, Biliran Province State University, Central Luzon State University, Isabela State University, and Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation; and 49th in Student Support and Engagement (A1), shared with Nueva Vizcaya State University.

Rounding out its Top 100 placements, ASC ranked 52nd in Industrial Application (A3), with Quirino State University, Universidad de Dagupan, and University of Luzon; 52nd in Future-Oriented Responses to Global Uncertainty (A7), alongside Batangas State University and Centro Escolar University; 61st in Curricular Innovation for Future Readiness (C3), tied with Central Mindanao University and Tarlac Agricultural University; and 78th in both Student Mobility and Openness (A2) and University Brand and Reputation (B8), shared with Central Mindanao University, Baguio Central University, and FEU Alabang.

Apayao State College (ASC) continues its rise in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), moving up to 166th place this year from 221st in 2025 and 284th in 2024.

The new ranking places ASC alongside well-known institutions, including the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, showing its growing presence in the global field of innovation.

WURI ranks universities based on their academic outputs and their ability to transform ideas into practical solutions that help people and communities.

ASC’s improved standing reflects its ongoing efforts to develop programs that respond to the communities it serves and expand its impact across different sectors.

ASC-Luna 2025 BSEd English majors achieved a 100% passing rate in the September and November 2025 Licensure Examination for Teachers, with all 21 examinees passing the LET. This result reflects the strong preparation, language proficiency, and dedication of the graduating class in the English program.

The pioneer batch of 2025 BSEd Science graduates of ASC-Luna recorded a 100% LET passing rate, with 8 passers out of 8 examinees in the September and November 2025 Licensure Examination for Teachers. This achievement reflects the rigor of the program and the commitment of its first cohort of future science educators.

ASC-Luna 2025 BSEd Social Studies majors also posted a 100% passing rate in the latest LET, with all 7 examinees successfully qualifying in the September and November 2025 Licensure Examination for Teachers. This milestone highlights the program’s strength in developing competent, socially aware future educators.

As the pioneer batch of the BSEd Filipino program, ASC-Luna’s 2025 graduates achieved a 100% passing rate in the September and November 2025 LET, with 4 passers out of 4 examinees. The result underscores the program’s early success in promoting excellence in Filipino language and culture education.

ASC-Luna’s 2025 BSEd Mathematics majors contributed strongly to the campus performance in the September and November 2025 LET, with 7 passers out of 9 examinees, equivalent to a 77.78% passing rate. The result reflects the efforts of the graduates and faculty in strengthening mathematics education and supporting future math teachers in their licensure journey.

‎Luna, Apayao. Apayao State College-Luna Campus posted an outstanding performance in the September and November 2025 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), as graduates of its 2025 Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) batch achieved a 95.92% passing rate, with 47 passers out of 49.

‎This performance reflects only the 2025 BSEd graduates and excludes examinees from earlier batches, providing a clear picture of the achievement of the current cohort.

‎By specialization, four BSEd majors recorded a 100% passing rate. The English major produced 21 passers out of 21, Science had 8 out of 8, Social Studies recorded 7 out of 7, and Filipino achieved 4 out of 4. The Mathematics major also contributed to the campus performance, with 7 passers out of 9, translating to a 77.78% passing rate.

‎The 95.92% success rate underscores the strength of ASC-Luna’s teacher education program, which integrates outcomes-based instruction, targeted academic mentoring, and curriculum alignment with national licensure competencies.

‎College officials attributed the achievement to the collective efforts of faculty members, program chairs, academic mentors, administrators, and support staff, as well as to the perseverance and determination of students who committed to their professional preparation.
