As of 6:00 PM today (18 August 2026), Tropical Depression “ ” is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), while Low Pressure Area ( ) 08G is located outside the PAR.
Neneng was estimated at 1,035 km east of Extreme Northern Luzon, with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h and gustiness of up to 55 km/h. It is currently moving northwestward at 20 km/h. Meanwhile, LPA 08G was located 450 km west of Calayan, Cagayan and has a “HIGH” chance of developing into a tropical cyclone.

As of 2:00 PM today (18 August 2026), Low Pressure Area ( ) 08F has developed into Tropical Depression “Neneng” while inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
Neneng is the 14th tropical cyclone to develop or enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this year.
