In celebration of Nutrition Month 2026, Don Victor Ville National High School conducted meaningful activities on July 17, 2026, in support of this year’s theme, "𝑺𝒂 𝑷𝑷𝑨𝑵: 𝑺𝒂𝒎𝒂-𝒔𝒂𝒎𝒂 𝒔𝒂 𝑵𝒖𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒕 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒂 𝒔𝒂 𝑳𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒕!" and its sub-theme, "𝑵𝒖𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒚𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒕 𝑲𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒏, 𝑨𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒂𝒏!" The celebration aimed to raise learners’ awareness of the importance of proper nutrition, food security, environmental stewardship, and collective responsibility in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
One of the highlights was the Nutri Salo-Salo, which was participated in by learners in Grades 7 to 10. They brought and shared nutritious meals, promoting healthy food choices, camaraderie, and the value of sharing. The activity encouraged balanced eating habits and the importance of consuming nutritious foods for overall health and well-being.
The celebration also included a school clean-up drive and the planting of nutritious vegetables, highlighting the connection between a clean environment, sustainable food production, and good nutrition. These activities were integrated into lessons that contribute to food security and healthy eating, while developing environmental responsibility, teamwork, and an appreciation for growing nutritious food.
Through these activities, Don Victor Ville National High School reaffirmed its commitment to promoting health, nutrition, and environmental sustainability. The celebration reminded everyone that ensuring access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food is a shared responsibility, empowering learners to make healthier choices and contribute to a healthier, more sustainable future.
