Project LETRA marked its second year of collaboration with 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 through the "𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧 𝐊𝐚𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓: 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙘 𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙆𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚" event held last July 12, 2025 at Bagumbayan National High School. With the guidance of their PUPT instructors, pre-service teachers were sent off once again to bring meaningful learning to the community. 👩‍🏫🧑‍🏫

𝓗𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓵𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽𝓼 𝓕𝓻𝓸𝓶 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓔𝓷𝓰𝓵𝓲𝓼𝓱 𝓢𝓮𝓼𝓼𝓲𝓸𝓷 📖

With the leadership of 𝐌𝐬. 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐲, pre-service teachers 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐨, 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐚 𝐓𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐦, and 𝐂𝐲𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫 took the lead in delivering a meaningful English session to young learners in the community.

The session began with a prayer, opening remarks, and an inspirational message from SK officials. Learners were introduced to 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙘 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜, an effective reading strategy, followed by group activities centered on two literary texts—"𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝" 𝙗𝙮 𝙅𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙂𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙞𝙖 𝙑𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖 and "𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙞𝙛𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙞" 𝙗𝙮 𝙊. 𝙃𝙚𝙣𝙧𝙮. 🎁⏳

The session was also filled with activities including group reading, listening to audio stories, synthesizing the text, getting the gist, identifying main ideas, and unlocking vocabulary through a fun crossword challenge. At the end of the session, participants were awarded certificates and given journals to encourage reflective writing. 🎧✍️

Special thanks to English officers 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞, 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐚 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐚, 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐞, and 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐨 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐨 for their behind-the-scenes support in preparing the materials and ensuring the day’s success. 👏

The Mathematics session began with opening remarks from SK officials and volunteers, followed by engaging instruction from volunteer teachers—𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐳 , 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧, and 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐬. Learners took a short diagnostic test before diving into fun activities like logic games and Math Bingo, energized by a lively dance activity in between. 🧠🎲

To wrap up the session, participants shared a meal provided by SK Bagumbayan and held an awarding ceremony to recognize the efforts of the volunteer instructors. It was a day of sharing knowledge, building confidence, and sparking a deeper appreciation for Math.✨

📅 On 𝒥𝓊𝓁𝓎 𝟣𝟧, 𝟤𝟢𝟤𝟦 Project LETRA proudly joined 𝐒𝐊 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 in launching their first-ever Salin Kaalaman—a milestone in bringing education closer to the community. 👏

We had 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙤 and 𝙆𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙖 𝙏𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙢 for English, 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝘼𝙣𝙣 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙠 and 𝙌𝙪𝙚𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙡𝙮𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙯 for Math—together with their instructors, 𝙈𝙧. 𝙆𝙖𝙧𝙡 𝙆𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙑𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖 and 𝙈𝙨. 𝙀𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙖 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙮.

Through teamwork and dedication, they made a lasting impact on young learners while gaining real-world experience beyond the classroom. A true exchange of growth and service.🍃
