The Institute of Human Nutrition and Food - University of the Philippines Los Banos (IHNF-UPLB) is seeking dedicated and knowledgeable individuals to be part of our operational research in Maguindanao, Philippines.

Minimum Requirements:
- A Registered Nutritionist-Dietitian willing to travel, and be assigned in selected study sites in Maguindanao Del Sur;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Familiarity with community health practices and nutrition-based interventions; and
- Basic knowledge of child health and nutrition.

A meaningful courtesy call and exploratory meeting between Pasig City Nutrition Committee and the IHNF-CHE, UPLB which happened last 20 April 2026, created space for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration in nutrition. Led by Mayor Vico Sotto and City Nutrition Action Officer (CNAO) Jenily Capalaran, the conversation focused on identifying priority areas where research, extension, and local governance can intersect.

This includes opportunties for collaboration in program implementation, capacity development, and nutrition program management. The team also had the opportunity to meet with Councilor Boyie Raymundo (Committee on Nutrition and Dietetics) and Councilor Eric Gonzales (Committee on Health), who shared their commitment to strengthening support for nutrition initiatives.

We look forward to translating these initial conversations into concrete actions and long-term partnerships.
