Sa Memorandum Circular No. 131 na nilagdaan ni Executive Secretary Ralph G. Recto, ipinag-utos ng Malacaรฑang ang pagpapatupad ng naaangkop na alternative work arrangements sa mga tanggapan ng pamahalaan at alternative learning modes at learning continuity measures sa mga pampubliko at pribadong paaralan bukas, Agosto 20, bilang paghahanda sa inaasahang patuloy na malakas na pag-ulan dulot ng habagat.
Ang hakbang ay alinsunod sa rekomendasyon ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) at dahil sa banta ng localized flooding at mga panganib sa paglalakbay dulot ng patuloy na pag-ulan.
Ipatutupad ang alternative work arrangements at alternative learning modes sa mga sumusunod na lugar:

* Abra
* Benguet
* Ilocos Norte
* Ilocos Sur
* La Union
* Pangasinan
* Bataan
* Bulacan
* Nueva Ecija
* Pampanga
* Tarlac
* Zambales
* Batangas
* Cavite
* Laguna
* Rizal
* Occidental Mindoro
Hindi sakop ng alternative work arrangements ang mga ahensyang may kinalaman sa pagbibigay ng basic at health services, paghahanda at pagtugon sa mga sakuna at kalamidad
Ang mga Contract of Service (COS) at Job Order (JO) workers na ilalagay sa alternative work arrangements ay patuloy na tatanggap ng kaukulang sahod o bayad, alinsunod sa umiiral na mga patakaran at regulasyon.
Ipinauubaya ng Malacanang sa mga Local Chief Executives ang kapangyarihang mag-pasiya kung kinakailangang suspendihin ang pasok sa mga lugar na kanilang nasasakupan na hindi napabilang sa memorandum circular.
Nasa diskresyon naman ng pamunuan ng pribadong sektor ang pagdeklara ng suspensyon sa trabaho.

ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 19
Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 129, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 19, 2026:

๐ Nueva Ecija
๐ Pampanga
๐ Tarlac

๐ Laguna
๐ Rizal
๐ Occidental Mindoro
๐ Oriental Mindoro
Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.
Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.
The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

โWikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon.โ
Kinikilala ng tema ng Buwan ng Wika 2026 ang magkaugnay na papel ng wikang Filipino at artificial intelligence (AI) para sa makabansang gawain ng pananaliksik. Panawagan ito para sa responsableng paggamit ng AI habang tinitiyak na may makabuluhang espasyo ang Wikang Pambansa sa mga usaping may kinalaman sa mga umuusbong na teknolohiya at kaugnay na usaping pang-etika rito.
Itinuturing ang AI bilang kasangkapan para maiangat pa lalo ang kalidad ng saliksik na inihahandog ng mga Pilipino, unang-una, para sa mga kapuwa Pilipino. Habang kinakasangkapan ang AI, patuloy pa ring tinatahak ng wikang Filipino ang landas ng intelektuwalisasyon na magbubunga ng panloob at panlabas na pagbabago sa bansa. Sa ganitong paraan, kapuwa ang AI at wikang Filipino ay nagiging tulay na gagamitin ng mga Pilipino para sa kanilang pinapangarap na magandang bukas.
Ating ipagdiwang ang ating Wikang Pambansa sa Agosto 2026!
Bilang pakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika, nagsuot ng Filipiniana o katutubong kasuotan ang piling mag-aaral bilang pagpapakita ng pagmamahal, pagpapahalaga, at pagmamalaki sa ating mayamang kultura at pagkakakilanlan bilang mga Pilipino.
Sa pamamagitan ng pagsusuot ng ating tradisyunal na kasuotan, ipinapakita natin ang ating paggalang sa mga kaugaliang minana natin sa ating mga ninuno at ang ating suporta sa patuloy na pagpapaunlad ng wikang Filipino at kulturang Pilipino.
