Mother Goose Lipa caters to families with Toddlers, Preschool, and Grade School pupils.

Through a fun and hands-on matching game, our young learners explored how weather can be represented through simple symbols.

They observed picture cards, matched them to the corresponding weather mats, and practiced identifying different types of weather. 🌦️

But the learning didn’t stop there! We brought the weather to life through movement:

☀️ Sun: stretch up and shine!
🌧️ Rain: wiggle fingers like falling raindrops!
☁️ Clouds: float gently across the sky!

Through this experience, our preschoolers explored the IB concept of Connection—connecting symbols, movement, and real-world experiences as they made sense of the weather around them.

They also developed their observation, matching, communication, and early counting skills while making these connections.

At this age, curiosity is the beginning of learning. We encourage our little learners to wonder, explore, ask questions, and discover the world around them.

When your child says:

“I can't draw that.”
“I can't do it.”
“I don't know how.”

It's tempting to say: “Of course you can!”

But sometimes children don't need us to convince them that something is easy.

They need us to show them that not knowing how to do something immediately is okay.

Try: “You don't know how yet.”

That little word—yet—leaves the door open.

It tells a child that ability isn't fixed.

Learning takes time, mistakes, practice, and patience.

Purpose grows through perseverance.

As part of our Who We Are Unit of Inquiry, our Year 6 learners were inspired by a special visit from one of our young alumni, Ysai Lucido, whose journey in competitive golf reminded us that success is not defined by victories alone but by resilience, gratitude, and the courage to keep moving forward despite challenges.

Her story encouraged our learners to embrace mistakes as opportunities to grow, value experiences over achievements, and remain grateful to the people who guide them along the way—powerful reminders that a sense of purpose may help overcome changes and challenges.

Thank you for sharing your inspiring journey with our Mother Goose Lipa family! We are proud of you and wish you continued success on and off the course.

“I don’t know. What do you think?”

That question changes the dynamic.

You become a co-investigator.

Your child becomes an active contributor.

Together, you explore possibilities rather than simply searching for the “correct” answer.

This is one of the beautiful things about inquiry: learning can move in directions none of us predicted.
