Led by their exceptional 𝑻𝒆𝒂𝒎 𝑪𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏, 𝑱𝒖𝒅𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒏𝒛𝒐 𝑶𝒔𝒆ñ𝒂, together with his equally talented co-debaters, 𝑲𝒚𝒍𝒂 𝑹𝒐𝒋𝒐 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑱𝒂𝒛𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑳𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒉𝒐, and supported by their hardworking and meticulous researcher, 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑪𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒄, the team demonstrated an extraordinary level of critical thinking, confidence, and unity. Each member played a vital role in crafting powerful arguments, analyzing complex issues, and delivering them with clarity, poise, and conviction.

Throughout the competition, they stood out for their ability to present well-researched ideas, rebut opposing arguments with precision, and communicate their perspectives with eloquence and purpose. Congratulations to De Luna, Emmanuel Jane D., a 1st Year Computer Engineering student from the College of Computing and Technology Engineering (CCTE), for winning 2nd Place in the Oratorical Speech Competition during the Inter-Departmental Elocution Competition 2026,held as part of CELA Days 2026 on March 05, 2026.

With the theme “Lingua et Lex: Articulating Ideas for the Contemporary World,” the event highlighted the power of language and expression in sharing ideas that matter in today’s society. Emmanuel Jane showed great confidence, dedication, and excellence in public speaking, making the CCTE community proud.

During the Final Round of the 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, the champions from the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 faced the formidable team from the College of Nursing in a compelling exchange of ideas. The proposition for the round was:⁣

In the spirit of this year’s theme, “𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚 𝐞𝐭 𝐋𝐮𝐱: 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝,” the debate became a platform where critical thought, evidence-based arguments, and powerful rhetoric came together to address one of the most pressing issues of our time.⁣

As we celebrate this remarkable achievement, we share some of the 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭-𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 delivered by the debaters during the final round—words that reflect not only intellectual excellence but also the courage to engage with complex realities and envision sustainable solutions for the future.

The Pres. Carlos Mojares Educational Access Program continues to open doors of opportunity for aspiring students by Providing P17,000 Tuition and Miscellaneous Fees only Per Semester for Four Years
for those pursuing Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

This initiative aims to help deserving learners gain access to quality education, develop their technological skills, and prepare for a future in the ever-growing field of computing and innovation. Freshies Orientation Day was a success!

Earlier, August 11, 2025, the College of Computing, Technology, and Engineering officially welcomed its first-year students at the AVR, Lipa City Colleges.

The event was filled with inspiring introductions, valuable insights about campus life, and a warm presentation of the faculty members who will guide them on their academic journey. It was a meaningful start, building excitement and motivation as our new students embark on their path toward innovation, learning, and excellence in the fields of computing, technology, and engineering.
