𝗕𝗜𝗦𝗟𝗜𝗚 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 | 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟳–𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 — De La Salle John Bosco College (DLSJBC) welcomed the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) accreditors for the Preliminary Visit of the Senior High School Department held on September 7–8, 2026.

The seven-member team of accreditors, together with one PAASCU representative, arrived in Davao City on September 6 and was warmly welcomed by Ms. Pearl Corvera, Quality Assurance Officer, and Ms. Rose Caldeo, Learning Leader in HELE and MAPEH. The delegation was accommodated at Hotel La Salle, where a welcome dinner was hosted in their honor at the hotel’s function room.

The formal evaluation began on September 7, focusing on the different areas of school operations and educational delivery, including Leadership and Governance, Quality Assurance, Resource Management, Teaching and Learning, External Relations, Research, and Results, among other areas.

Throughout the two-day visit, the PAASCU team engaged with school administrators, faculty members, staff, students, and other stakeholders as part of the evaluation process. The visit provided DLSJBC with an opportunity to reflect on its practices, recognize areas of strength, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

A short closing program was held at the end of the visit, highlighted by the feedback session of the PAASCU accreditors and a message from School President Br. Rey E. Mejias FSC.

As a gesture of gratitude, DLSJBC presented tokens to the members of the PAASCU team, followed by a thanksgiving dinner.

The successful conduct of the preliminary visit reflects the collective commitment of the DLSJBC community to quality, continuous improvement, and the pursuit of excellence in Lasallian education.

Happy National Tech-Voc Day, mga ka-TESDA! 🇵🇭💙
Today, TESDA marks its 32nd anniversary, celebrating more than three decades of bringing quality technical-vocational education and training closer to every Filipino.

This year’s celebration carries the theme “Husay. Tibay. Tagumpay.” — a tribute to the skills, resilience, and determination of every Filipino who continues to learn, grow, and pursue a better future through TVET.

The celebration is in line with Republic Act No. 7796, or the TESDA Act of 1994, and Republic Act No. 10970, which declares every 25th of August as “National Tech-Voc Day”, which was signed in 2018.
