Participation of Libato Elementary School Personnel in the International Coastal Cleanup 2026

On September 19, 2026, the school personnel of Libato Elementary School actively participated in the International Coastal Cleanup 2026, organized by the Municipal Government of San Juan, Batangas through the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO). With the theme “Cleanseas for Resilience,” the activity promoted community participation in protecting waterways, reducing waste, and strengthening environmental responsibility.

As part of the school's GABAY-LIBATO activities, the school personnel conducted a cleanup drive along a portion of Sitio Bagbag Creek, Barangay Libato, San Juan, Batangas. They worked together in collecting and properly disposing of waste materials found along the creek, helping maintain its cleanliness and contribute to the protection of the local waterway.

The activity strengthened the spirit of bayanihan and shared responsibility among the school personnel and the community. It also emphasized the importance of keeping creeks and other waterways free from waste to help protect the environment and promote a clean and safe community.

The participation of Libato Elementary School in the International Coastal Cleanup 2026 forms part of its continuing commitment to GABAY-LIBATO and environmental stewardship. Through this initiative, the school demonstrates that collective action, even through simple cleanup activities, can contribute to a cleaner, healthier, and more resilient community.
