On ๐’๐ž๐ฉ๐ญ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ—, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”, the ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐’๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐†๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐‹๐ž๐ ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐๐ซ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ก successfully conducted its ๐…๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ญ๐ก ๐‘๐ž๐ ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐š๐ซ ๐’๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง, further advancing its legislative work and service to the NEMSUan student body.

During the session, the Senate considered proposed legislative measures, resulting in the adoption of three resolutions, while two measures were referred for further consideration in the succeeding session. The Senate also discussed other matters concerning the welfare of NEMSUans and the continued strengthening of the University Student Government and its Legislative Branch.

As legislative work continues, the Legislative Branch remains committed to good governance, transparency, accountability, and meaningful representation in serving the NEMSUan student body.

The University Student Government proudly presents Senate Resolution No. 001, Series of A.Y. 2026โ€“2027, formally establishing the University Student Government (USG) Media and Publications Unit and its official positions, including the Writing Division and Creative Division, to strengthen the USGโ€™s publication, documentation, and multimedia communication.

This resolution was introduced as part of the collective efforts of the ๐”๐’๐† ๐’๐ž๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ž to strengthen the dissemination of accurate and relevant information and enhance the communication and publication efforts of the University Student Government.

The First Regular Session laid the foundation for the Senate through the adoption of its Internal Rules of Procedure, presentation of committee assignments and commitments, and identification of priority student concerns. The University Student Government (USG) officially announces that the Filing of Candidacy (FOC) for the Organizational Election for Academic Year 2026โ€“2027 is now open.

Students who aspire to serve as responsible and committed student leaders are encouraged to participate in this democratic process by submitting the required documents and meeting the qualifications for candidacy.

Interested candidates may secure and accomplish the official Certificate of Candidacy (COC) through their respective Local Governors.
