BAYBAY CITY — What began as a simple and lighthearted decision to join the Division Gender and Development (GAD) Competition turned into a remarkable achievement for Bunga Elementary School, as it proudly secured top honors in multiple categories.

The awarding ceremony was held on March 27, 2026, at the Binaybayon Sports Complex, where participants from across the division gathered to celebrate excellence and creativity.

Bunga Elementary School emerged as Champion in Digital Poster Making and clinched 1st Place in Digital Photo Storytelling, showcasing the creativity, talent, and teamwork of its pupils.

Leading the team was Coach, Teacher Caryl Vim S. Cerna, whose guidance and dedication played a vital role in honing the pupils’ skills. The Digital Poster Making Champion title was awarded to Y. Quiobe, while the Digital Photo Storytelling – 1st Place was achieved through the collaborative efforts of G. J. Labana, R. Cerna, and F. Cortina.

According to the coach, the participation was initially intended as a fun and exploratory experience. However, through commitment and teamwork, the pupils exceeded expectations and rose to the top of the competition.

The team expressed heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support of their school principal, Sir Denniss Castillano, whose encouragement inspired them throughout the journey. They also offered all glory to God for guiding them in achieving this milestone.

This accomplishment highlights the power of creativity, collaboration, and perseverance among young learners of Bunga Elementary School. As the celebration continues in line with Women’s Month, the school community remains inspired to pursue excellence and make a difference in future endeavors.

Brgy. Bunga, Philippines — Bunga Elementary School successfully partnered with the Barangay Officials of Brgy. Bunga during the recently concluded Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA) Meet 2026, held on March 1–7, 2026.

The school proudly served as one of the official billeting areas for the delegation from Biliran Province, providing a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for athletes, coaches, and officials throughout the duration of the event.

Under the leadership of Anamelle Macariola Bantaculo and Denniss B. Castillano, the partnership between the barangay and the school was carried out successfully. Their guidance, along with the cooperation of teachers, staff, and community members, ensured smooth and efficient billeting operations.

This strong collaboration reflected the spirit of unity, hospitality, and bayanihan, showcasing the community’s commitment to supporting regional events that promote sportsmanship and youth development.
