VSU Villaba Student Election Board

𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 | VSU-Baybay Student Election Board (SEB) has announced that no applicants and candidates have officially filed for the University Supreme Student Council (USSC) Election 2026, on April 10.

The filing of Certificates of Candidacy, which opened on January 19, was extended to March 31 to encourage wider student participation.

Despite this, the SEB confirmed that no applications were submitted for the annual USSC election.

All filed Certificates of Candidacy (COC) shall undergo a thorough evaluation to ensure compliance with the prescribed qualifications, requirements, and guidelines.

Applicants are advised to remain available for possible communication and to monitor official announcements regarding the status of their application.

𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | The University Student Election Board (USEB) reopened the filing of Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for the University Supreme Student Council (USSC) as announced through a Facebook post yesterday, March 23.

The filing period started yesterday, March 23 and will last until Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

According to USEB, recommencing the filing of candidacy is necessary because only 20% of campuses has USSC candidates reflecting low participation across the university.

Additionally, USEB encourages all qualified students to step up, lead, and represent the student body.

ATTENTION, ASPIRING VISCAN LEADERS!📣

The University Student Election Board (USEB) has officially REOPENED the Filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COC) for the University Supreme Student Council (USSC) Elections 2026.

After a post-filing assessment, the Board found low participation across campuses—with only 20% of campuses having USSC candidates and just 25% of faculties with FSSC candidates. This calls for a stronger student voice to ensure a competitive, representative, and meaningful election.

🗓 Filing Schedule:
• Start: March 23, 2026
• Deadline: March 31, 2026

All qualified students are highly encouraged to step up, lead, and make a difference. File your COC within the given period and coordinate with Student Election Board (SEB) for guidance.

For Faculty Supreme Student Council (FSSC) positions, the reopening of filing will depend on the decision of your respective Faculty SEB, especially in faculties with no candidates.

Are you a passionate and dedicated Villaba Viscan who wants to lead and serve? The Student Election Board (SEB) Code is now available! Here’s what you need to know if you're planning to run for a position in the upcoming USSC and CSSC Elections at VSU Villaba:

Who Can Run?
✅ Any bonafide VSU undergraduate student
✅ Must not have more than two (2) failing grades (subject to SEB evaluation)
✅ Must not be a staff of the MindSprout Board
✅ Must have no violations of university rules and regulations

How to File Your Candidacy?
📌 Submit your Certificate of Candidacy to SEB
📌 Pay a ₱50.00 Registration Fee
📌 Complete all requirements within a week after the filing deadline

For Political Parties & Campaigns
🏛️ Political parties must be registered with SEB
🎤 Campaigns must maintain peace & order on campus
📜 All posters must bear the SEB logo and should be removed after elections
🚫 No soliciting of funds from private individuals or organizations

Election & Voting Guidelines
🗳️ Voting Period: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
🔍 Students must present their VSU ID, COR, or any valid ID to vote
👀 Two representatives per party/candidate can serve as tally watchers

Penalties & Fines
❌ Late campaigning = Disqualification + fines up to ₱1,000
❌ Unregistered campaigning = Denial of candidacy
⚠️ If voter turnout is below 75%, absentees will be fined ₱50
