The Visayas State Universityโ€“Villaba Student Election Board officially releases the voter turnout for the Faculty Supreme Student Council (FSSC) Election 2026. Based on the official canvassing of ballots, the Faculty of Teacher Education (FTE) and the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Science (FAFS) successfully reached the required quorum.

Out of the total student population of 946, a total of 625 students participated in the election, representing 66.07% voter turnout. This reflects the active participation and commitment of the student body in electing responsible and capable student leaders.

The Student Election Board sincerely thanks all students who exercised their right to vote. Your participation demonstrates unity, responsibility, and dedication toward strengthening student leadership and governance.

Morning classes from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, will be suspended in line with the conduct of the Student Election 2026 at the Student Center.

The temporary suspension, according to the VSU Villaba Student Election Board (SEB), aims to ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of the election and encourage greater student participation in selecting the next set of student leaders.

Attendance and participation during the election period remain mandatory for all students. Voting will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at the 12:00 p.m. cut-off. Students are advised to bring their school ID and ballpen during the election proper. Further, students who fail to attend or vote during Election Day will be charged โ‚ฑ50 for log in and another โ‚ฑ50 for log out as per VSU Villaba Student Election Board (SEB).

As of writing, the official memorandum regarding the suspension of classes has yet to be released.

๐—”๐——๐—ฉ๐—œ๐—ฆ๐—ข๐—ฅ๐—ฌ | The University Student Election Board (USEB) has rescheduled the Supreme Student Council (SSC) Election 2026 from May 6 to May 15, in line with OP Memorandum Circular No. 119, s. 2026.

The adjustment follows the designation of May 4โ€“9 as synchronous/asynchronous learning days, with the new date set during face-to-face classes to ensure wider participation.

Voting will be conducted through a hybrid system, allowing both on-campus and off-campus students to cast their votes.

The campaign period is extended until May 8, while Election Week begins on May 9, during which campaigning is prohibited.

Students are advised to be guided accordingly.

๐—•๐—ฅ๐—˜๐—”๐—ž๐—œ๐—ก๐—š | VSU-Baybay Student Election Board (SEB) has announced that no applicants and candidates have officially filed for the University Supreme Student Council (USSC) Election 2026, on April 10.

The filing of Certificates of Candidacy, which opened on January 19, was extended to March 31 to encourage wider student participation.

Despite this, the SEB confirmed that no applications were submitted for the annual USSC election.

This is a developing story.
