Second year BSEd English students recently participated in Lesson Alchemy: A Workshop on Crafting Impactful Plans and Mastering the Art of Teaching on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at ACC Business Incubation Facility.
The event, part of their EL 111 Technology for Teaching and Learning 2 course under the supervision of Prof. Alvin V. Advincula, featured a session led by a former English Guild president and alumni, Mrs. Diana Jane Cantilang whose experience and expertise proved invaluable.
The workshop aimed not only to empower BSEd English students with knowledge but also to give them a platform to collaborate, share creative ideas, and gain feedback as they prepare for their respective lesson plan creation and teaching demonstrations.
Through a combination of theory and practical exercises, students learned how to integrate technology effectively in their teaching strategies, making lessons more interactive and impactful.
Andrea Gadin, one of the participant shared that the workshop provided her with a deeper understanding of how important it is to fuse creativity with structure when preparing a lesson plan.
"Listening to the experiences of our guest speaker, who shared practical insights from her own journey, was particularly inspiring. It showed me the significance of continuous learning and adapting to new teaching methods in an ever-evolving educational landscape.", Gadin explained.
Moreover, Amor Magallanes another participant mentioned that the hands-on activities were invaluable, and the discussions surrounding lesson plan development were eye-opening.
"I left the workshop feeling more confident in my ability to craft lesson plans. This experience has prepared me not only to excel in my course but to become a more thoughtful and innovative educator.", Magallanes added.
This transformative workshop not only set the stage for their imminent lesson plan creation and teaching demonstrations but also instilled a deeper understanding of how thoughtful planning and reflective practice can truly turn everyday lessons into powerful learning experiences.

At Abuyog Community College, women stand at the forefront of education, leadership, and community service. They are educators shaping the minds of future generations, administrators steering the institution toward excellence, and staff ensuring that learning environments thrive.
This International Womenโs Day, we honor their resilience, dedication, and unwavering commitment to progress.
From the lecture halls to the offices, from community outreach to policy-making, these women prove that strength is not just in numbers but in purpose. They challenge norms, break barriers, and redefine what it means to lead.
As we celebrate them today, we echo the call: "Abanteh Babaye"โbecause every woman deserves to move forward, rise higher, and be recognized for her invaluable contributions.
Today, we celebrate their achievements; tomorrow, we continue the journey toward equality.

Today, the Christian communities around the world celebrates the nativity of Jesus Christ. This day marks the moment when heaven touched earth. Born in a humble manger, Jesus, the Word made flesh, came to dwell among us, bringing light and hope to a weary world. This simple yet profound event reminds us of Godโs immense loveโa love that bridges the gap between the divine and humanity.
Let this season inspire us to open our hearts to God's presence and share His love with those around us.
Just as Christ brought hope to the world, may we ACCians bring hope and joy to our communities, reflecting His glory in our actions.
Wishing you all a blessed Christmas Day!

HELLO FEBRUARY!
As the month of January ends, we welcome February as a continuing chapter in our life filled with opportunities.
It is known that February is the Love month. One aphorism says "That heart is placed lower than the mind" and thus, may we not only keeping loving but may we also keep thinking for wiser decisions for future progress.
With the resumption of our classes, let us remind ourselves to keep striving and never give up as we journey our way to the top.

KLASE NA, ACCians!
After the seemingly unending line-up of students for two weeks, finally, the enrollment has come to an end. Now, as we face the second semester of this academic year 2022-2023, may we be able to ignite the same passion, confidence and perseverance that we had last sem.
Let us remember these three important points that will positively redirect our academic perspectives.
First, let's strive to always do things with excellence. The "okay na lang" and "unya na lang" mindset must be blotted out. Learn to submit a QUALITY OUTPUT ON TIME. A thing can never be called a failure as long as you poured your heart on it.
Second, let's learn from our mistakes. If we are aware that we did lack and were incompetent last sem, let us try to reflect and do something about it. Let us constantly remember that each decision is a step towards the future ahead. "You can't make the same mistake twice. The second time you make it, it's not a mistake, it's a choice."
Third and most importantly, let us study to learn; not to compete. Or if ever you want competition, compete with yourself; not with others. This way, studying will be more fun, satisfying and purposeful.
Let us roll up our sleeves as the new semester unfolds for a better and brighter future for all of us.
Padayon kita, ACCians!
