In light of the prevailing 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 and 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬, students across campuses are allowed to wear 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞, 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫-𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞 when attending classes. However, all students are still expected to observe 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 and wear clothing that remains 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.

This fake email (as seen in the photo) falsely claims that applicants must pay via GCash, LandBank, or walk-in transactions before their scheduled admission interviews.

THIS IS A SCAM. The email did not come from any official EVSU office.

EVSU DOES NOT and WILL NEVER collect any payments or fees for College Admission Tests, interviews, or any part of the admission process. As a state university, our admission process is absolutely FREE.

Do NOT send money or personal information to these scammers.

We urge everyone to remain vigilant. For official updates and announcements regarding admissions, please rely only on the official EVSU website and the official social media pages of our offices.

The EVSU Ormoc Eagles Men's Basketball Team are your CHAMPIONS of the Ormoc Inter-Collegiate Basketball Tournament!

In a thrilling do-or-die Game 2, the Eagles soared past the Western Leyte College Mustangs with a dominant 75–53 victory, completing a remarkable comeback after falling short in Game 1 of the Finals.

The Mustangs came out strong, leading 43–38 at halftime, but the Eagles responded with grit and heart—locking in defensively and shutting down their opponents in the second half to take full control of the game.

Coming into the Finals with a twice-to-beat advantage after sweeping the eliminations, the Eagles proved their resilience when it mattered most—rising under pressure and finishing strong to claim the crown.

𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 | Work and Class Operations for Holy Week 2026

Please be guided by OUP Memorandum No. 03-09-2026 regarding university operations for the upcoming Holy Week:

March 30 - April 01, 2026:

- Classes will be conducted synchronously or asynchronously. Faculty may hold real-time online classes, provide pre-recorded lectures, course materials, and assignments to be completed within the week.

- Junior High School students are required to report on-site from March 30 to April 1 for scheduled final exams and performance tasks.

- All SCUAA athletes are allowed to hold practices with the present and Guidance of official coaches.

- Other students' events and activities shall be postponed and rescheduled accordingly.

- On April 01, work and classes shall only be observed until 12:00 noon.

April 02 - 04, 2026:

-NO WORK AND CLASSES in observance of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Black Saturday.

In the absence of the 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 due to official travel, 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡 𝐉𝐚𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐥 𝐒. 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬, 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫-𝐢𝐧-𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞, together with 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐁. 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐨, 𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐏 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫, accommodated the visiting officers during the meeting.

The discussion focused on matters concerning the unit, including 𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐬, 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬, 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐝𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬, and other 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 for ROTC officers where the school may extend its support.

𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 – 𝐎𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐜 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 successfully conducted the 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 (𝐍𝐒𝐄𝐃) today, 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐚𝐭 𝟑:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌, with the active participation of 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 across the campus.

The activity aimed to strengthen 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 by practicing the proper “𝐃𝐮𝐜𝐤, 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝” response during an earthquake. The drill was carried out 𝐬𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐲 as the entire 𝐄𝐕𝐒𝐔-𝐎𝐂 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 followed the 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬.

A special demonstration on how to properly respond and handle 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞-𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬 was also conducted by the 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 (𝐂𝐑𝐂𝐘), helping participants better understand the 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 to take during such calamities.

Through initiatives like this, 𝐄𝐕𝐒𝐔-𝐎𝐂 continues to promote 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 among its community members in times of disaster.

Students from 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 – 𝐎𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐜 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 participated in a seminar focused on 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬.
