𝗛𝗧𝗠 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀’ 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗺 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆

Marking a significant milestone in their academic journey, third-year Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) students of Eastern Visayas State University–Burauen Campus (EVSU-BC) participate in the Pinning Ceremony 2026, anchored with the theme “The Service Pledge: A Practicum Conferment Ceremony,” held at Camp Kawayan Resort today, May 6.

In his welcome remarks, Prof. Antonino A. Sales Jr., head of the Student Affairs and Services Office (SASO), emphasizes the value of purpose in the students’ journey.

“Today is your moment—wear your pin with pride, but more importantly, wear it with purpose,” Prof. Sales says.

Guest speaker Mr. Jam M. Tibe highlights the importance of the 3C’s in hospitality—Commitment, Competence, and Contribution—while Mr. Jerome D. Daut encourages students to pursue their dreams with confidence.

“Ayaw kamo ka hadlok pag reach hit iyo dreams in life, kay ikaw mismo ito it magbubuhat, diri iba,” he shares.

The ceremony features a special video presentation, raffle draw, and recognition of early attendees, followed by the pinning proper and pledge of oath led by Ms. Vernice Dale D. Olino, CHR president.

In her closing remarks, Prof. Darlene D. Monteros, head of the HTM Department, reminds students to carry both skills and values as they begin their practicum.

“As you step forward into the practicum journey, carry with you not only the knowledge and skills you have learned in school, but also the values that define true hospitality,” she says.

The said orientation highlights the importance of research in building modern business plans and introduces emerging entrepreneurial frameworks that prepare students for future-ready enterprises.

𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚: The Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) program of Eastern Visayas State University–Burauen Campus (EVSU-BC) conducts the Professional Development and Service Excellence Leadership Seminar anchored with the theme “Strengthening Service Excellence for Future Hospitality and Service Professionals” today, April 17, at the Human Resource Development Center (HRDC).

HM students participate in discussions focusing on professional identity, leadership, and work ethics, equipping them with essential competencies for the hospitality and tourism industry.

The seminar features guest speakers Dr. Christopher Gambito of Leyte Normal University and Mr. Eric Matobato Gruco of Camp Kawayan Resort, who share their expertise through lectures and interactive open forum sessions.
