Answer: El Consejo de los Dioses (The Council of the Gods)

While Noli Me Tángere and El Filibusterismo are Rizal's most famous novels, he also wrote other significant works, including essays, poems, and plays. El Consejo de los Dioses is an allegorical play written in Spanish that won first prize in a literary contest organized by the Artistic-Literary Lyceum of Manila in 1880.

The play uses mythological figures to represent different aspects of society. While it doesn't explicitly feature a "blind woman symbolizing Motherland" and a "cunning friar" as individual characters, the allegorical nature of the play allows for interpretations along these lines. The characters and their interactions critique various elements of colonial rule and the societal issues prevalent during Rizal's time. "Bayan Ko" was originally written in Spanish as "Nuestra Patria" in 1929 by the renowned Filipino poet Jose Corazon de Jesus, also known as "Huseng Batute." The poem expresses deep love for the Philippines and longing for freedom.

While it was written much earlier, it gained immense popularity and became a powerful anthem during the Marcos regime (1972-1986). Its themes of oppression, longing for liberation, and unwavering patriotism resonated deeply with Filipinos who were resisting the dictatorship.
