𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐒 | 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

On July 6, 2026, PMMS students from the Senior High School, Non-Maritime, and Maritime departments gathered at the PMMS–Las Piñas Open Court for the first Morning Colors ceremony of the month.

In his morning address, Capt. Reuben Lanuzo shared important announcements and activities scheduled for the week. He announced that on Thursday, July 9, MMS Maritime Inc. will conduct a selection and cadetship examination in the computer room of the Prieto Building from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. He emphasized that regular classes will continue as scheduled, with classes affected by the use of the computer room temporarily relocated to their designated classrooms. Interested S1 and S3 cadets who wish to take the qualifying examination were instructed to register at the OBT Office.

Capt. Lanuzo also announced that a bloodletting activity, in partnership with Las Piñas General Hospital, will be held on Saturday, July 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

He concluded his address by acknowledging the school officials and faculty members in attendance and warmly welcoming the new students, encouraging them to consider PMMS their second home.

The 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐲𝐚 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐧 held a 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 called 𝐒𝐈𝐊𝐇𝐀𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 with the theme of “𝘗𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘢 𝘔𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘢 𝘢𝘵 𝘔𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘨”. The huge event was led by the President of KK-Kabataan NCR Chapter 𝘔𝘳. 𝘊𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘥 𝘟𝘤𝘩𝘭𝘦𝘳 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘨 yesterday, June 29, 2026, at 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚.

The journalism summit was held to hone the student-journalists across the NCR the experiences and knowledge of some of the country's renowned broadcasters, journalists, and documentarists, including 𝘔𝘳. 𝘑𝘦𝘧𝘳𝘺 “𝘑𝘦𝘧𝘧” 𝘊𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘺, Chief of Reporters of ABS-CBN News; 𝘔𝘴. 𝘈𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭𝘢 𝘓𝘢𝘨𝘶𝘯𝘻𝘢𝘥-𝘊𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰, Broadcast Journalist of One News and TV5; 𝘔𝘳. 𝘏𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘰, Broadcast Journalist of GMA News; and 𝘔𝘳. 𝘚𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘋𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘯, former anchor of GMA News.

The speakers highlighted the importance of truth in every article written by a journalist, as well as how they uphold the truth throughout their years of public service, despite the continuous changes in the form and nature of journalism. ¶

Manila's Vice-Mayor 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗟𝗲𝗶 "𝗖𝗵𝗶" 𝗔𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗮 offered her warm presence as she walked the stage together with the Session 2 Speaker, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗛𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗼 during Sikhay 2026 at Santa Isabel College, Manila.

In her short address, Vice-Mayor Atienza reminisced about her time as a journalist and highlighted that the student journalists attending the summit will sure learn things that they can use in their field from the renowned speakers the summit has this afternoon.

𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗟𝗔, 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 — Today, June 29, 2026, 7:15 AM, the Maritimes Editorial Board arrived at Santa Isabel College, Ermita, Manila for Sikhay 2026: Pandayan ng Malaya at Mapanuring Pamamagayag.

After arriving, Maritimes immediately went on to registration and booth visiting at SICM indoor Gym while waiting for the program to start.
