I recently ate dinner at Mr. Crab located in Red Cocotown, Lapu-Lapu City!
It's a classic seafood restaurant serving Filipino style meals. We ordered quite a feast, so I had many favourites.
But, my top three dishes were 1.) Sinigang and 2.) Kinilaw 3.) Korean styled chicken (ironically).
There are a lot of restaurants that serve sinigang, but most of them lower the level of sourness. But, Mr. Crab's sinigang is so good! It's sour2x! As a person whose favorite food is sinigang, it made me happy!
It was my first time tasting kinilaw, so I dont have any comparison, but I really enjoyed it! The fish tasted soft, fresh, and had a gentle sour taste! It made for a good appetizer.
Since it was a Filipino restaurant, I was surprised with how good their korean styled chicken was. Really bursting w flavor and didnt taste like flour. It was good!
The service was pretty good. We ate during peak hours so they were all busy. They hustled and bustled with their in-ear mics and had the etiquette of a Hotel Restaurant.
I have no other complaints about the other dishes. They were all delicious! It's a good restaurant to go with family.

It was one of those days when Iwas craving a very specific food, and at this time, it was chicken biryani! I first tried a similar dish in Laou Lapu, so I looked for another restaurant that had it, then, I found on Grab.
It arrived very quickly and it was steaming hot! The biryani rice was exactly what I was looking for. The chicken was seasoned very well, but because I ordered delivery, it was soggy and mixed in w the rice. I need to visit the restaurant in person to get a better taste experience!

I was told about a small Korean food restaurant across USC in Talamban. It's . The food was great! We ordered a set meal for just P250, and the serving was a LOT. I got full really fast and had a hard time finishing. It was delicious 😋🩵✨.
The place is cozy and full of students during dinner time. I'll come back again because the price is really good and the food is yummy!

⭐⭐⭐
I ate at recently and ordered the wagyu beef brisket! It started out delicious and soft, but after a while I realized it was dry. Unlike other steak places, they didn't ask us what level we wanted the meat to be cooked. I love the sauce and pickles.
Other than that, the ambiance and service was great. Very aesthetic!

in Lapu Lapu City! The portions were HUGE. We had to takeout out our leftovers because we underestimated the size. We were so full we couldnt finish our orders. I have no complaints about the food because it was all delicious!
I like the themes and decor they have going on, and there's even a button on the table that let's you call the waiter. The only thing I think they should improve is the pitcher for their juice. We have to use a ladle to get juice from it and pour it scoop by scoop into our cups.
Overall 8.5/10 experience!

PengPeng eats at
Right inside the tight beach roads of Agus, there is a hidden spot where you can get a lovely beach view and delicious food! This Isla-Hadsan.
PROS:
✅ VIEW - A sea view that brings in the ocean breeze. Refreshing during the daytime, romantic during the evening.
✅ AESTHETIC - it's instagrammable! Gazebo beach vibe.
✅ DELICIOUS - My favorite on their menu is the Crispy Pata, which might be the best I've tasted in Lapu-Lapu. Second, their chicken fingers, and next, their signature Adobong Rabbit.
✅ SERVICE - The servers and even chefs were very attentive to us. Great smiles and great vibes!
✅ LIVE SINGER - The live singer has a beautiful voice, and she was very friendly to the guests.
CONS:
❌ LOCATION - it's located deep inside a small road, making it difficult for those without private vehicles
❌ SMOKING - since it's an open-air restaurant, it seems that guests are allowed to smoke. Even their staff were smoking in the restaurant. So, if you're asthmatic like me, it might be difficult.
❌ CR - their washroom is not easily accessible. It's located outside of the restaurant, and it was even locked when we visited. Makes it difficult for senior citizens.
❌ DRIPPING CEILING - not a good idea to eat here when it rains, because their ceiling drips onto your table (and possibly, your food).
❌ BUGS - if you plan to eat during the evening, make sure to bring mosquito repellent because they tend to pester. There are also lots of ants on the table (but such is the life of an outdoor restaurant).
❌ TOO DARK - Once evening strikes, the lighting is not enough. Its purpose is for ambiance, but it's really too difficult to eat your food with minimal lighting.

There's a nice burger joint right behind Basak, Gaisano Grandmall that serves aesthetic and delicious burgers! Here's my review:
🍔FOOD (8/10)
The menu mostly consisted of classic burger and fries (American themed food), but there is a small selection of set rice meals.
The burgers are delicious. They don't use cheap, ready-made patties. They make the patties from scratch and pump up their burgers full of ingredients until you have a hard time holding it. The burgers are very big, portion-wise, and just one will make you full.
We got French fries, spam sticks, and cheese sticks. A great side dish to snack on while you're focusing on your main. I think my favorite is the spam sticks.
If you're going for the burger and fries, this is a great place to eat. However, as a rice person, I was disappointed to find out that their beef patty was out. So, I got the tomato sausage rice meal, which wasn't as delicious as I thought it would be. It was more onion and tomato, with the occasional sausage that I could barely taste.
✨AESTHETIC (8/10)
They had a red and black mafia theme going on. Their restaurant space is small, but the best place to sit would be their 2nd floor. That's where all the photo shoot areas are.
One thing they can improve would be the display for their condiments. Although it can serve as a sort of grunge, retro, most of the time I didn't want to include it in the photos.
The best part was their comfort room! Clean, comfortable, and has a bidet.
💰PRICE (9/10)
It's relatively affordable. We spent around Php 2,500 for the entire meal you see here, and it was good for 5 adults. We even got some extra food to take home.
If we compare it to fast food burgers, you get it for the same price, but of better quality.
Pretty good.
📍LOCATION (7/10)
It's located behind Basak, Gaisano Grandmall. If you have a car, they have limited parking space. It's better if you had a motorbike or if you went on foot.
