The Student Council of Information Technology and Computing (SCITC), alongside the University of Technology Communication Management Society (SUTCMS), Guild of Junior Data Scientists (GUJDASCI), Computer Science Student Society (CSยณ), and Society of Information Technology Enthusiasts (SITE), met with CITC Dean Dr. Junar A. Landicho on July 23, 2026, at the Deanโ€™s Office to present and consult their respective Annual Work and Financial Plans (AWFPs) for Academic Year 2026โ€“2027.

Each organization shared its proposed projects and initiatives while receiving valuable recommendations, constructive feedback, and fresh perspectives from the Dean. The consultation encouraged thoughtful discussions on improving existing plans, identifying opportunities for collaboration, and ensuring that every proposed activity reflects the needs of the student body and the direction of the College.

More than a presentation, the meeting became a collaborative planning sessionโ€”where ideas were challenged, refined, and strengthened, laying a more solid foundation for a year of impactful programs and meaningful service to the Howling Lycan community.

From the historic success of CardioScope at the BPIโ€“DOST Innovation Awards 2025 comes another opportunity to represent USTP on the national stage.

For the second consecutive year, the Department of Data Science proudly celebrates a Top 10 Finalistโ€”this time through ๐’๐Ž๐๐€๐‘๐€, an agricultural innovation that uses bioacoustics and machine learning to detect and localize respiratory distress in poultry.

Represented by ๐Š๐š๐ซ๐ฅ ๐Œ๐ข๐œ๐ก๐š๐ž๐ฅ ๐. SONARA proves that even the faintest sound inside a poultry house can become dataโ€”and that data can lead to earlier action, healthier flocks, and smarter farms.

Last year, we listened to the heart. This year, we listen to the flock.

It was the beginning of a cultureโ€”one where our students continuously turn data into decisions, challenges into innovations, and ideas into solutions that matter.
