The Center for English Language and Communication (CELC) was honored to be invited as guest speakers by the NWU CIHTM Internship Program for the Pre-Interview Session for Practicum 2. During the session, qualified 4th-year students from BSHM, BSTM, and BSHMCM were equipped with practical insights on interview preparation and self-branding.

Keynote Speaker 1, Ms. Jasiel Punay, presented “Ace Your Interview,” equipping students with practical strategies to answer interview questions with confidence and professionalism. Meanwhile, Keynote Speaker 2, Mrs. Barbara Ann Valdez, delivered “Self-Branding: How to Introduce Yourself with Confidence and Impact,” inspiring students to showcase themselves with authenticity, poise, and purpose. 🎤

PRE-INTERVIEW SESSION FOR PRACTICUM 2

AMPAYAG, CIHTM!

To all qualified Fourth-Year students who will be undergoing Practicum 2 for the mSecond Semester of Academic Year 2026–2027:

The College of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (CIHTM) will conduct a Pre-Interview Session to prepare you for your upcoming Practicum 2 interview and deployment.

📅 Date:September 15, 2026 (Tuesday)
⏰ Time:8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
📍 Venue: International House (IH)

🎯 What to Expect

The activity will focus on preparing you for your actual Practicum 2 interview through:

* Interview preparation and orientation
* Proper composition and delivery of interview answers
* Professional communication and interview etiquette
* Confidence-building and effective self-presentation
* Tips and techniques in answering interview questions
* Actual pre-interview with CIHTM representatives and selected partner agencies
* Assessment of your communication skills, professionalism, confidence, and readiness for Practicum 2

Since this activity is part of your professional preparation for Practicum 2, all qualified students are required to wear the prescribed AMPAYAG uniform and observe proper grooming and professional appearance.

The Center for English Language and Communication (CELC) participated in the Campus-wide Simultaneous Orientation held on August 3, 4, 5, 7, 11, and 15, 2026.

During the orientation, students were introduced to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)-based English Assessment, which is administered to students, faculty, and staff to help the institution monitor English language proficiency and support the improvement of academic programs.
