Highlights from the Girl Power Self-Defense Seminar held on March 13, 2026 at the MMSU LHS Covered Court, organized by the Women’s Club Officers. Together, we learn to stand strong, stay aware, and protect ourselves.

Be Aware. Be Confident. Be Ready.

The Women’s Club Organization of the College of Teacher Education invites you to the Self-Defense Seminar for Women, a meaningful initiative aimed at equipping students with practical self-defense skills and essential knowledge on personal safety.

With the guidance of the Philippine National Police (PNP) – Laoag City and the Zonta Club of Ilocos Norte, participants will gain valuable insights through interactive lectures, live demonstrations, and practical safety strategies designed to build confidence, awareness, and readiness in facing possible threatening situations.
Because empowerment begins with knowledge, courage, and the ability to protect oneself.

While the seminar primarily empowers women, male students are also encouraged to join in promoting awareness, respect, and a safer environment for all.

Together, let us build a community where knowledge, safety, and empowerment go hand in hand.

In line with the celebration of 2025 National Women’s Month and as per Regional Memorandum No. 071, s. 2025, all students and personnel are encouraged to wear purple attire every Wednesday for the month of March.

This collective gesture symbolizes our commitment to recognizing women's contributions to society and our continued support for gender development.
