๐งช Educational Field Trip to the National Bioenergy Research and Innovation Center (NBERIC) ๐ฑ
Our MAED Chemistry and MAED Science Education (Chemistry Cognate) students recently visited the National Bioenergy Research and Innovation Center (NBERIC) as part of their experiential learning activity. ๐ฉโ๐ฌ๐จโ๐ฌ
This meaningful activity allowed our graduate students, who are also educators in the basic education, to experience first-hand the use of modern analytical equipment such as GC, HPLC, AAS.
As part of the visit, they were given a tour and a short discussion on the facilities related to alcohol production, the wide array of analytical services, and researches conducted at NBERIC. This hands-on learning experience gave our students a deeper appreciation of chemical concepts and their real-world applications.
More than just an academic activity, this visit fosters awareness of the advanced analytical facilities available within the universityโtools that can significantly enhance science education and research in our country. ๐ต๐ญ
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. James Paul T. Madigal, NBERIC Director, for warmly welcoming us and making this learning opportunity possible. ๐
Special thanks as well to our resource speakers, Mr. Jayson Cariaga, Mr. Jayson Prades and Ms. Lorelei Faye Manzano-Abat for sharing their expertise and facilitating an engaging and informative session. Your support greatly enriched our visit and inspired our science educators.
This field trip not only reinforced classroom learning but also raised awareness of the advanced laboratory facilities, empowering our educators to bring science to life in their own teaching contexts.
๐๐ฌ Learning truly comes alive when experienced!
๐ Learning beyond the classroom truly empowers future educators to bring chemistry to life for their own students!.
