Cabeza Elementary School

It was transferred to Bengcag about 1860 and in 1920 to its present location in Cabungaan. The school building was constructed in wood and elevated about six feet, enough to accommodate grade one to grade four rooms and an office. The second world war broke out; the Japanese conquering forces arrived in nineteen forty two (1942) they made Zamboanga School their garrison barracks camp; they destroy squander, the whole building and the concrete stair was only left. The Japanese-Germans was over, it was nineteen forty five (1945) opened the school classes because Zamboanga was destroyed. They temporarily occupied the left structure left by the Japanese and American forces. They remove the old chairs and construct a new edifice enough to hold a grade one to grade six rooms and an office. Then again Zamboanga Elementary School came into existence. About nineteen- sixty (1960) there was two proposals presented in a PTCA meeting to change the name of Zamboanga Elementary School to ZAMBENCA Elementary School and the other one was CABEZA Elementary School. Nobody agreed to change its name. In nineteen eighty four (1984) there was a proposal again to change the name Zamboanga to CABEZA; the author is the incumbent Secretary in their barangay, there was a law created by the President of the Philippines, Chair by the First Lady, to protect- look- safeguard the restoration of Antique. They promulgate for the restoration of the antique name Zamboanga Elementary School, they send to the First Lady, copy furnish the Division Office and Department of Education Culture and Sports. It did not prosper again. But in nineteen ninety-five (1995) Zamboanga Elementary School was already changed to CABEZA Elementary School.
