Earthquake Drill at Miguel Anton ES.

Today, Miguel Anton Elementary School successfully participated in the Simultaneous Earthquake Drill as part of the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), an initiative aimed at enhancing disaster preparedness and promoting a culture of safety among learners, teachers, and school personnel. Participants practiced the proper “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure and followed designated evacuation protocols to ensure readiness in the event of an actual earthquake.

The activity highlighted the importance of preparedness, presence of mind, and coordinated response during emergencies. Through regular drills such as this, the school strengthens its commitment to protecting lives and fostering resilience within the school community.

We commend the learners, teachers, volunteers, parents and stakeholders for their active participation and cooperation in making today’s drill a success.

An on-site inspection was conducted by our Principal at Miguel Anton Elementary School before leaving the school premises, monitoring the ongoing repair and rehabilitation of various school buildings in Lanao del Sur II. Alhamdulillah MBHTE-BARMM!

School-Based MULTAQAH 2026
