Social workers are often boxed into one image: clipboard in hand, giving relief packs. But that’s not the whole story.

When we talk about “Social Workers” most of the people have specific perspective about that; “taga bigay ng ayuda” , “taga lista” , “nandyan lang yan sila kapag may mga sakuna, sila yung taga tulong at bigay ng ayuda” , “sila ba yung nag tatrabaho sa city hall?” and many more perspective that may be accurate but the thing is they label us only as “TAGA BIGAY NG AYUDA” or as a CHARITY, 𝐖𝐄 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫; to look beyond the label. Social workers are educators, advocates, counselors, and changemakers. We work not just to give, but to empower. Not just to help, but to transform systems and lives.
The work is hard, but the impact lasts. And it’s time the world knows the real story.

This advocacy video is more than just a classroom requirement—it reflects our commitment as Bachelor of Science in Social Work II-B students to promote awareness, encourage responsible choices, and inspire positive change.

Through this project, we shed light on the realities of illegal drug use and its impact on individuals, families, and communities. Our goal is to remind everyone that prevention begins with awareness, compassion, and the courage to make the right decisions.

As future social workers, we believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, pursue their dreams, and receive the guidance and support they need. By educating ourselves and others, we can help build safer, healthier, and more resilient communities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our instructor, Ma’am Erica, for her guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support throughout this project. We are also thankful to everyone who contributed their time, effort, and support in making this advocacy possible.

Ang inyong pagiging leader ay nagbibigay ng inspirasyon sa aming lahat—pinaparamdam ninyo na kaming lahat ay pantay-pantay at inyong tunay na pinapahalagahan.
