"The PMLC Conducting Earthquake Drill"
Earthquakes strike without warning. When the ground starts shaking, you will not have time to think—you must rely on muscle memory. That is why we practice. The biggest danger during an earthquake is not the ground opening up; it is falling objects like ceiling tiles, glass, and bookshelves. For this reason, never run while the ground is shaking.
Must immediately perform three steps:
1. DROP down onto your hands and knees. This protects you from falling over.
2. COVER your head and neck with your arms. If a sturdy desk or table is nearby, crawl under it.
3. HOLD ON to your shelter with one hand, and use your other arm to protect your neck.
Stay in this position until the shaking stops and you receive the signal to evacuate. Walk calmly—without running or pushing—along our designated routes to the assembly area outside. Focus, take this seriously, and build the habits that could save our lives. Thank you.
Thank you Mr. Roger Acosta for taking the lead to perform the Earthquake Drill, more power and God bless you.
