Luta Elementary School | August 20, 2026

With profound gratitude, we acknowledge the meaningful health monitoring and intervention conducted today by Nurse Novelyn Dumanop, who dedicated her time and expertise to promote the well-being of our learners.

Her invaluable contributions today included:

🪥 Oral Hygiene Initiative — Nurse Novelyn distributed toothbrushes and toothpaste to all learners, and personally guided them in proper toothbrushing and handwashing practices, fostering lifelong habits of cleanliness and health.

✅ Comprehensive Health Assessment & Deworming — She conducted thorough checks of the learners’ ears, hair for lice, and nails. With parental consent, deworming medication was safely administered — a vital step toward their physical growth and vitality.

🦟 Health Education — An informative session on Dengue Prevention was delivered to our higher-grade learners, empowering them with knowledge to protect themselves and their community.

🌱 Gulayan sa Paaralan Monitoring — She also visited and assessed the progress of our school garden, reinforcing our commitment to nutrition and sustainability.

“Health is the foundation of learning. By caring for their bodies, we open the way for their minds to flourish.”

We extend our deepest appreciation to Nurse Novelyn Dumanop for her unwavering commitment, compassionate service, and continued support to Luta Elementary School. Your presence and care inspire us all to prioritize health and community welfare. May your dedication be abundantly blessed.

NOURISHING LEARNERS, GROWING TOGETHER!

Luta Elementary School continues to promote healthy and happy learners through another meaningful episode of our School-Based Feeding Program held on August 19, 2026.

With the guidance and supervision of their teachers, our learners actively participated in harvesting, cleaning, and preparing the fresh vegetables from our Gulayan sa Paaralan. Their participation made the activity more meaningful as they experienced firsthand how the vegetables they helped grow can provide nutritious food for their fellow learners.

After the vegetables were prepared, Sir Wilbur Namonne, our School Administrative Officer (AO), generously took charge of cooking the viand. The teachers then served the meal to our learners, who enjoyed the nutritious food with smiles and grateful hearts.

More than a feeding activity, this is a celebration of teamwork, responsibility, cooperation, and care. It teaches our learners that every helping hand—from the garden to the kitchen and finally to the dining table—contributes to building a healthier school community.

From our Gulayan sa Paaralan to our learners’ tables, every harvest becomes more meaningful when shared with love and service.

Thank you to our learners and teachers, and to everyone who continues to support our feeding program. Together, we grow, nourish, and inspire!

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Beloved Alumnus!

We are deeply moved and incredibly grateful to Chester Jay Dimangna, one of our proud alumni, for reaching out to us all the way from the UAE! 🇦🇪

In his message, Chester shared how our Gulayan sa Paaralan and School-Based Feeding Program brought back fond memories of his time here at Luta ES—and he wished to give back to support our learners, even from miles away.

"As an alumnus of Luta ES it brings me back to the joys of good old days, and I want to give back a small amount for the feeding program."

This is such a beautiful reminder: our school’s initiatives don’t just grow vegetables or serve meals—they grow love, connection, and a community that stays connected no matter how far life takes us.

To Chester and all our alumni near and far—thank you for carrying Luta ES in your hearts, and for choosing to walk alongside us in nurturing our learners. Your generosity inspires us all!

May we continue to grow together, for our children and for our community.

🏆 2ND RUNNER-UP
Search for the Most Outstanding Elementary School Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP) Implementer
School Year 2025–2026

We are deeply grateful and proud to share that Luta Elementary School has been recognized as 2nd Runner-Up in the search for the Most Outstanding Elementary School Gulayan sa Paaralan Program Implementer.

This achievement is a reflection of the dedication and leadership of our school personnel, headed by our School Principal, Madam May Cecilia F. Patnaan, and our Gulayan sa Paaralan Program Coordinator, Mrs. Nimfa W. Binohlan, together with the teachers, parents, learners, and community partners who have shared their time, effort, resources, and love for our school.

🏆 RECOGNITION FOR OUTSTANDING COMMITMENT TO WASH

Luta Elementary School was also recognized for its outstanding commitment and support to the successful implementation of the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene in Schools (WASH) Program.

We proudly acknowledge our WASH Coordinator, Madam Gracether U. Puguon, whose dedication and commitment have contributed greatly to the successful implementation of the program in our school. Together with our school personnel and community partners, she has helped promote a cleaner, safer, healthier, and more child-friendly school environment.

These recognitions are more than awards. They represent people working together for a common purpose. They represent the spirit of Bayanihan and Pangipaptok—a spirit where community members embrace volunteerism not merely as an act of kindness, but as a responsibility to help build a better future for the younger generation.

To our school personnel, parents, PTA, learners, barangay partners, volunteers, and the entire Luta community, thank you for every helping hand, every seed planted, every garden cared for, every vegetable harvested, every clean space maintained, and every effort given for our learners.

This achievement belongs to all of us.

May these recognitions inspire us not to stop, but to continue doing what we can—with commitment, humility, and a genuine heart for service.

Because in the end, we do not serve simply to receive recognition.

We give our best because our learners deserve our best.
We serve because it is our responsibility.
We continue because it is the right thing to do.

May we continue to plant—not only vegetables, but also hope, responsibility, cooperation, and dreams for the younger generation.

Congratulations, Luta Elementary School!

With Bayanihan and Pangipaptok, we grow together.
We grow a garden. We nurture a community. We cultivate a better future.

CELEBRATING SPORTS, FRIENDSHIP, AND THE SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE!

Luta Elementary School proudly celebrates the courage, determination, and achievements of our young athletes who represented our school in the 2026 Zone 4 Athletic Meet, held on August 15–16, 2026, at Caba Elementary School.

The athletic meet brought together the nine barangays of Lower Ayangan—Caba, Luta, Pullaan, Ponghal, Buyabuyan, Ollilicon, Tupaya, Dulao, and Banga—in a meaningful celebration of sportsmanship, friendship, teamwork, discipline, and camaraderie.

A NIGHT OF SOLIDARITY AND FRIENDSHIP

On August 14, our athletes, coaches, PTA officers, and BLGU representatives arrived at the host school and shared dinner together. This was followed by the Solidarity Meeting among coaches and the Friendship Meeting among DepEd personnel, PTA representatives, BLGUs, and visitors from the MLGU.

We were honored by the presence of Hon. Leslie Nayahangan, Municipal Mayor, together with Hon. Jansen Roldan, Municipal Councilor.

The meetings provided an opportunity to discuss the activities for the succeeding days, the needs and funding for the upcoming District Meet, and the bidding for the venue of the 2027 Zone 4 Athletic Meet.

Congratulations to Barangay Ollilicon for successfully bidding to host next year's Zone 4 Athletic Meet!

AN INSPIRING OPENING

The Opening Program on August 15 officially set the spirit of the competition, with Sir Jangulf Luglug as the guest speaker.

A Gift That Will Grow Into Blessings

Last Friday, Luta Elementary School received a heartwarming message from a kind-hearted individual who preferred to remain anonymous. What touched us most was knowing that someone had noticed and appreciated the efforts being undertaken by our school through the Gulayan sa Paaralan and the School-Based Feeding Program.

She generously offered to provide seeds for our school garden. She mentioned that if someone would be coming to Joyce Agrivet in Lagawe, there would be seeds that she could share with our school. We were truly grateful for her thoughtful gesture.

Today, Saturday, a school representative went to Joyce Agrivet, where she kindly instructed us to choose the seeds we needed, worth ₱300. We chose Baguio beans, string beans, and mustard seeds.

These may be small packets of seeds, but they carry a much bigger gift—hope, generosity, and support for our learners. In time, these seeds will grow in our school garden and contribute to providing fresh and nutritious food for our learners through our School-Based Feeding Program.

Luta Elementary School sincerely thanks our generous benefactor. Though we may not know your name, please know that your kindness will take root in our school and will be nurtured for the benefit of our learners.

Your generosity reminds us that when people come together to support education and the welfare of children, even the smallest acts of kindness can create meaningful and lasting impact.

We promise to pay this kindness forward. May the spirit of giving continue to grow and go around—just like a seed that is planted, nurtured, and eventually produces an abundance of blessings.

Thank you for helping Luta Elementary School grow—not only vegetables, but also hope, kindness, and a brighter future for our learners.

LOVE SERVED STRAIGHT FROM OUR KITCHEN TO THE TABLE! | SCHOOL-BASED FEEDING PROGRAM
🗓️ August 5, 2026 | Luta Elementary School

Warmth, care, and fresh goodness filled our classrooms today as we served a truly special meal straight from our school kitchen right to the learners’ tables!

Our nourishing menu: delicious Tinolang Manok made with native chicken and crisp pechay—freshly harvested from our very own Gulayan sa Paaralan!

This hearty meal was made possible by our wonderful community:
The native chicken was generously donated by our supportive School PDO, Ma'am Nefeteri C. Cabbigat

Prepared with so much love by our dedicated parent volunteers, Mrs. Gemma Bumanghat and Mrs. Ofelia Kimayong

Pupils and teachers alike enjoyed every spoonful of this sumptuous, healthy lunch! Seeing happy, smiling faces reminds us that when we come together to give and share, we nurture not just strong bodies, but bright hearts and minds too. 🫶

Thank you to everyone who pours kindness into making our learners feel loved and well cared for!

August 5, 2026 | Luta Elementary School

Right after our flag ceremony today, we held an informative and meaningful Dengue Prevention IEC session led by our very own Barangay Nutrition Scholar, Mrs. Wilma U. Dangayo.

She shared vital, easy-to-follow tips and reminded our learners: “Prevention is always better than cure!” — encouraging everyone to keep their surroundings clean, practice good habits, and work together to keep our school and community safe and dengue-free.

Thank you, Mrs. Dangayo, for empowering our learners with knowledge and care!

SUCCESSFUL SCHOOL-BASED FEEDING PROGRAM | AUGUST 3, 2026

Luta Elementary School celebrates another heartwarming milestone today, as our Gulayan sa Paaralan project came alive to nourish our learners—rooted in care, teamwork, and shared generosity!

We extend our deepest gratitude to our dedicated parent volunteers: Mrs. Wilma Dangayo, Mrs. Marites Dimoclo, and Mrs. Nympha Kimayong, who lovingly tended to and harvested fresh pechay straight from our school garden. They carefully prepared the harvest: 5 bundles were set aside for today’s feeding activity, while 9 bundles were sold to help sustain our garden and future feeding efforts.

Our thanks also go to Mrs. Jornalyn D. Cumihang, who generously donated 1 kilogram of delicious longganisa—making our vegetable meal even more hearty and flavorful for everyone!

What made the day even more special was seeing our older pupils step up with kindness and responsibility, happily serving the prepared viand to their younger schoolmates. It was a beautiful sight of care and unity, showing that when we work together, we not only feed bodies but also nurture hearts and values.

From the soil we tended, to the hands that harvested, shared, and served—today proved that our school garden is more than just plants; it is a source of health, hope, and love for our Luta ES family.

Thank you to every volunteer, donor, and learner who made this day a success!
