HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY START A BUSINESS

The BS in Business Administration major in Financial Management successfully conducted a seminar with the theme:

“How to Successfully Start a Business: A Seminar for Aspiring Entrepreneurs” on July 31, 2026.

The event opened with an inspiring and meaningful lecture by Ms. Zweeny Kieran Ananayo, who emphasized that “you can start a business even while you are still a student.” Her message encouraged us to believe in our ideas, take small steps, and see our student years as an opportunity to learn and begin building our entrepreneurial journey.

After the lecture, the Financial Management students participated in a group activity where each group created and presented a product idea. We were challenged not only to think of a product but also to convince Ms. Ananayo to buy it. The activity helped us develop our creativity, communication skills, confidence, teamwork, and ability to effectively market and promote a product.

This seminar reminded us that entrepreneurship is not only about having capital. It is also about having an idea, proper planning, courage, creativity, and the willingness to take action. As students, we may start small, but with determination and the right mindset, we can begin building something meaningful for our future.

We, the BS in Business Administration major in Financial Management, are grateful to our speaker, organizers, participants, and everyone who contributed to the success of this meaningful and inspiring event. May the lessons we learned encourage us to become responsible, innovative, and determined future entrepreneurs. ✨📊

The General Assembly for the BS in Business Administration Major in Financial Management held on August 18, 2026: Emphasizes Transparency, Leadership, and Student Engagement

BSBA Major in Financial Management Students Set the Standard for Transparency and Accountability at the General Assembly for BS in Business Administration Major in Financial Management A.Y. 2026-2027

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in the Financial Management student body successfully held its General Assembly for Academic Year 2026–2027 at CBM Building 1 4th Floor, Function Hall, setting a strong tone of unity and purpose. The program commenced with an inspiring opening message from the College Dean Dr. John Pagaddut, who urged students to aim for academic excellence, ethical leadership, and especially in technology and innovation. Transitioning into an interactive session, students engaged in a dynamic Q&A with the student leaders, which was immediately followed by an encouraging address from the organization’s Mayor Mr. Matthew Banawol, reinforcing the value of active participation and unity within the department organization.

Building upon this solid foundation inside the Function Hall, the event officially introduced the newly elected officer lineup before transitioning into crucial administrative matters. In line with core financial principles, the JFINEX-Finance Ms. Trexcee Bala-oy presented detailed financial reports to maintain total transparency. The JFINEX-Secretary Ms. Precious Mae Dulnuan also outlined the organization's governing by-laws and the strategic calendar of plans, projects, and activities scheduled throughout A.Y. 2026–2027, providing the members with a clear roadmap for professional growth and academic support in the coming terms.

The General Assembly wrapped up with an open forum dedicated to addressing policy details and members expectations and concerns. Members and officers held a constructive dialogue surrounding attendance policies, specifically discussing fees for non-attending students as well as accountability measures and corresponding fees for officers not-attending the events and activities. By providing a platform for open discussion and mutual accountability, the assembly successfully highlighted a shared commitment to building a responsible, transparent, and highly engaged Financial Management community.

IGNITING LEADERSHIP AND TEAMWORK!

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Financial Management successfully conducted a training with the theme:

“Unite and Ignite: BSBA FM 3 Team Building Activity” on August 14, 2026.

The event kicked off with an inspiring session on leadership and teamwork by Ms. Crizza Majhen, where participants gained valuable insights into the core qualities of effective leadership: Coordination, Resourcefulness, and Initiative.

The learning continued in the second session through dynamic team-building games, including Walk With Me, Caterpillar, Puzzle, Balance the World, Loop Game, and more. Through these interactive challenges, the participants learned the importance of clear communication to avoid misunderstandings, working as a cohesive team, actively listening to one another, building patience and resilience, and keeping a smile on their faces even under pressure.

The BSBA Financial Management students extend their heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Crizza Majhen for sharing her valuable time and expertise, as well as to the dedicated event facilitators—Jessryl Dupling, Vince G. Ngipol, and Melanie Uyami—for guiding the participants through an engaging and memorable experience.

The success of this team-building activity reflects the continuous commitment of the BSBA FM 3 students to take initiative, step up as responsible leaders, and strengthen their bond as a united community. 🤝🔥

𝓛𝓞𝓞𝓚!! The Junior Financial Executives Organization of IFSU-Lagawe Campus, under the College of Business and Management, partnered with a group of Business Administration students and successfully conducted an outreach seminar entitled "𝐸𝓂𝓅𝑜𝓌𝑒𝓇𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒲𝑜𝓂𝑒𝓃 𝓉𝒽𝓇𝑜𝓊𝑔𝒽 𝐿𝑒𝒶𝒹𝑒𝓇𝓈𝒽𝒾𝓅 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝐵𝒶𝓈𝒾𝒸 𝒟𝒾𝑔𝒾𝓉𝒶𝓁 𝒮𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁𝓈” in Nattum, Mayoyao, Ifugao for the Nattum Women’s Association.

This initiative aimed to equip women with essential leadership values, practical digital skills, and financial literacy knowledge—enabling them to adapt, grow, and lead in today’s evolving world. Through shared learning and meaningful engagement, the activity fostered confidence, collaboration, and empowerment among participants.

Together, we continue to inspire change and uplift communities through education and service. 💙
