General Parents-Teachers Orientation Strengthens Home-School Partnership at San Juan National High School

San Juan National High School successfully conducted its General Parents-Teachers Orientation last June 11,2026 at the school grounds, bringing together parents, teachers, school officials, and stakeholders in preparation for the opening of School Year 2026–2027.

The orientation aimed to strengthen the partnership between the school and parents by providing important information on school programs, policies, and academic initiatives. Parents were given a comprehensive overview of the school's accomplishments, plans, and expectations to ensure a productive and successful school year for all learners.

The program formally opened with the singing of the National Anthem, an opening prayer, and welcome remarks delivered by School Principal Dr. Sheryll L. Padua, who warmly welcomed both returning learners and incoming students and emphasized the vital role of parents in supporting their children's education. The orientation also highlighted the implementation of the Three-Term School Calendar, which aims to provide more focused instructional periods and improve learning outcomes.

Facilitated by Dr. Jerry P. Palabay, the meeting featured the presentation of the school's organizational structure, significant accomplishments for School Year 2025–2026, and important school policies concerning discipline, attendance, uniform regulations, anti-bullying measures, smoking prohibition, and the Child Protection Policy.

Parents were likewise oriented on the school's guidance services, student organizations, flagship programs, scholarships, partnerships, canteen services, and upcoming school activities. The PTA Accomplishment Report was presented by Mrs. Lilia Navida, while words of gratitude were delivered by Mrs. Florencia Calixtério.

Following the general assembly, parents proceeded to their respective classrooms for homeroom PTA meetings and the election of class officers, providing an opportunity for closer collaboration between parents and class advisers. The School Governing Council (SGC) and School PTA meetings were also conducted to discuss plans and initiatives that will further support the school's development.

The successful conduct of the orientation reflects San Juan National High School's commitment to fostering strong collaboration among parents, teachers, and stakeholders. Through open communication and shared responsibility, the school continues to create a supportive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and holistic development for every learner. As the new school year begins, the school community remains united in its mission of providing quality, inclusive, and learner-centered education.
