Heads up, Louisians! The HUMSS Club proudly presents our statement shirts—more than just style, they represent who we are and what we stand for as advocates of humanity, social awareness, and change. ✊✨

Our statement shirts are available in three unique designs, with sizes ranging from S to 5XL.

Beyond the traditions and the festivities, Easter stands as a powerful testament to the enduring human capacity for renewal. Today, we celebrate the spirit of 'rising' as a universal symbol of resilience and the courage to begin again.

We look to the empty tomb and find the promise of a new beginning, made possible by the sacrifice of a Savior who loved the world enough to redeem it. Through the Resurrection, we are reminded that no situation is too dark for His light to reach and no life is too broken for His grace to restore. As we rejoice in His victory, let us live as people of the Resurrection—carriers of hope and witnesses to the love that changed the world forever.

Ang pagiging isang Pilipina ay ang pagiging matatag sa harap ng hamon, matapang sa pagharap sa pagbabago, at may pusong handang maglingkod sa kapwa at bayan. Sa bawat hakbang kanilang tinatahak, dala nila ang lakas ng kababaihang Pilipino na patuloy na lumalaban para sa pagkakapantay-pantay, respeto, at mas makatarungang lipunan.

Ngayong National Women’s Month, kinikilala at ipinagdiriwang natin ang mahalagang ambag ng mga kababaihan sa kasaysayan, kultura, at pag-unlad ng ating bansa. Mula sa tahanan hanggang sa komunidad, sa paaralan hanggang sa larangan ng pamumuno—patuloy na pinatutunayan ng Pilipina na kaya niyang maging inspirasyon, tagapagbago, at tagapagtaguyod ng pag-asa.

Grade 12 Humanistas partook in the EDSA Recall Youth Summit, an event that joined voices from across the country to revisit the legacy of the People Power Revolution.

As students of the humanities and social sciences, we recognize that democracy is not a finished product, but a continuous effort. By engaging with our history, we reaffirm our commitment to social justice, truth, and active citizenship.

The true essence of being a Humanista lies in the courage to keep the flame of People Power alive within our hearts and actions. Let us never forget.

Forty years have passed, yet the spirit of the People Power Revolution continues to echo far beyond the stretch of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue. What happened in 1986 was more than the fall of Ferdinand Marcos Sr.—it was the rise of a nation awakened, a people who refused to surrender their voice.

EDSA was not fueled by weapons or vengeance. It was carried by conviction. Students skipped classes not for leisure but for liberty. Workers left offices not for rest but for resistance. Nuns, priests, families, and strangers stood side by side, proving that democracy is strongest when it is shared.

The years of Martial Law left scars: stories whispered in households, names etched in memorials, freedoms reclaimed. It was a period that tested the nation’s conscience. Yet from that trial emerged clarity—that no leader is greater than the law, and no regime is stronger than a united people.

EDSA reminds us that democracy is not self-sustaining. It breathes through participation. It survives through vigilance. It thrives when citizens question, remember, and act.

This anniversary is not simply about looking back. It is about deciding what we do moving forward.

Will we allow memory to fade?
Or will we protect it with the same courage that once filled the streets?

The power gathered in 1986 did not disappear.
It was passed on. Tayo ang People Power.

The HUMSS Club, along with Samahang Filipino, the Central Student Council, and Grade 11 students, successfully conducted a coastal cleanup activity at Carlatan, San Fernando City, on February 8. This meaningful event reflects a steadfast commitment to sustaining biodiversity and environmental consciousness.

Together, we call for the preservation of our environment and the promotion of a culture of care and sustainability. 💙

The HUMSS Club, the Social Sciences Academic Society (SSAS), and the Komunidad ng Akademikong Araling Panlipunan (KAAP) came together in organizing the Search for Cultural Heritage Ambassador and Ambassadress 2026 as part of the celebration of the Social Sciences. The event provided a meaningful platform for highlighting the importance of culture, history, and identity in shaping socially aware and culturally grounded individuals. The activity stands as a testament to collaboration, pakikiisa, and the shared commitment of the organizing clubs to promote appreciation and respect for our rich cultural heritage within the academic community.
