La Trinidad Central School Kicks Off conduct of Nutritional and Physical Health Assessment During Brigada Eskwela and Enrollment 2026
As part of the school health and nutrition section's commitment to promoting the health and well-being of learners, La Trinidad Central School commenced the conduct of the Nutritional Status Assessment, Physical Health Assessment, Health IECs and Blood Pressure Monitoring during the 2026 Brigada Eskwela and Enrollment period from June 1–5, 2026.
The activity was spearheaded by the School Nurse in collaboration with the Barangay Poblacion Health Station Health Workers. The assessments aimed to gather baseline health data of learners for the School Health and Nutrition Program and to identify those who may require further medical attention, nutritional intervention, or health monitoring.
During the activity, learners underwent height and weight measurements to determine their nutritional status, while physical health assessments were conducted to evaluate their general health condition with Health related IECs/ Health Teachings. Blood pressure monitoring was also performed for School Personnel and Parents who are having their BRIGADA and those enrolling their child. A total of 133 Parents/guardians/School personel were monitored for Blood Pressure.
The conduct of these health assessments supports the Department of Education's School Health and Oplan Kalusugan sa Deped (OKD) efforts in ensuring that learners are physically fit and ready for the opening of classes. The activity also strengthened the partnership between the school and community health workers in promoting a healthy and safe learning environment.
The implementation of the activity was made possible through the cooperation of parents, learners, school personnel, and the Barangay Poblacion Health Station Health Workers, reflecting a shared commitment to the health and welfare of every learner.

La Trinidad Central School (LTCS) successfully conducted its first General School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) Assembly for School Year 2026–2027 last Friday, bringing together parents, teachers, barangay officials, stakeholders, and community partners to strengthen collaboration and support initiatives aimed at enhancing learner outcomes and promoting quality education.
The assembly served as a venue to discuss important school updates and reinforce the vital role of home-school-community partnerships in ensuring the holistic development and success of every learner.
During the program, School Principal III Nancy C. Rosado presented the school's accomplishments for School Year 2025–2026, including reports on financial resources, sources of school funds, and updates on the implementation of the Three-Term School Calendar and other school programs and initiatives. The SPTA Treasurer's Report was also presented to promote transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of school resources.
A key highlight of the assembly was the presentation of enrolment data by barangay for School Year 2026–2027. The report revealed that a significant number of LTCS learners come from the barangays of Betag, Poblacion, Cruz, Pico, and Balili. The data will serve as a basis for strengthening partnerships with these communities through the establishment of Memoranda of Agreement (MOA), encouraging barangays to support school programs and initiatives that directly benefit learners.
Barangay officials from major feeder communities were invited to the assembly and shared inspirational messages emphasizing the importance of parental involvement and community engagement in providing quality education. Among those present were Hon. Monalisa D. Comila, Barangay Captain of Betag; Hon. Manuel L. Amoy Jr., Barangay Captain of Poblacion; and Hon. Billy M. Bilango, Barangay Captain of Balili, who was represented by Sir Jessy Arce.
The assembly also featured an open forum, allowing parents and stakeholders to raise concerns, ask questions, and offer suggestions to further improve the school's programs and services. The activity fostered open communication and strengthened mutual understanding between the school and the communities it serves.
In her message, Ma’am Rosado conveyed LTCS’s heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders, partners, private institutions, and companies that have continuously extended their support to La Trinidad Central School. She acknowledged their invaluable contributions and steadfast commitment to the school’s programs and initiatives, emphasizing that their collective efforts have greatly contributed to providing a safe, conducive, and learner-centered environment that promotes quality education for all.
"Strong partnerships build stronger futures for our children."
