SCI Daily Reflections:
"Come to me... and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28-30)
An excerpt from "Come to Jesus with Your Heavy Load:"
Have you noticed this about life yet? The heavier the load you’re carrying, the faster you run out of gas. That is true for your car—but it’s also true for you.
Some of you are overloaded—physically, emotionally, or relationally. The demands of work, family schedules, or financial pressures are causing significant stress in your life.
The Bible says this in Matthew 11:28-30: “Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest. For the yoke I will give you is easy, and the load I will put on you is light” (GNT).
Jesus summarizes the secret of stress management in three simple words—come, take, and learn. If you grab hold of these three solutions to stress, they’re going to change your life.
Come to Jesus. When you’re feeling overloaded, the antidote to your stress is not a time management plan or a new philosophy. It’s a person—Jesus—and he says, “Come to me.” When life feels heavy, Jesus wants you to turn to him. And when you do, he fills you with rest.

SCI Daily Reflections
"Then the Lord said to Moses, 'I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way, I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions. On the sixth day, they are to prepare what they bring in, and that is to be twice as much as they gather on the other days.'"
(Exodus 16:4-5)
An excerpt from "Finding Contentment in God's Provision:"
In Exodus 16, we see the Israelites, freshly liberated from slavery, wandering in the wilderness. Despite their miraculous escape, they quickly forget the hardships they endured and begin to complain about their current situation. They long for the food they had in Egypt, forgetting the pain of their bo***ge. God responds to their needs by providing manna, a daily bread from heaven. This act of provision is not just about feeding them; it’s a lesson in trust and contentment.
In our daily lives, we can cultivate a heart of gratitude by recognizing the good around us. The Hebrew phrase "hakarat hatov" meaning "recognise the good," serves as a powerful reminder to pause and reflect on the blessings we often take for granted. Just as the Israelites were instructed to gather manna daily, we too must seek out the blessings God provides each day.
