In line with the Monthly PEACE Activities of the Schools Division of Negros Occidental, La Castellana National High School – Junior High successfully conducted this week's program with the theme, "PEACE of ART: A Creative Expression for Peace." The program highlighted the power of art as a meaningful way to promote peace, inspire kindness, encourage respect, and strengthen unity among learners.
As part of the celebration, participating sections took part in the PEACE Rally, proudly presenting creative peace placards that reflected inspiring messages of hope, respect, compassion, and unity. Through their creativity and collaboration, the learners demonstrated that art can be a powerful tool in promoting harmony and fostering a peaceful, inclusive, and bully-free school community.
The highlight of the program was the inspiring spoken poetry performances of Everic Cymon A. Lacson from Grade 9 STE – Newton and Er John F. Madamay from Grade 10 STE – Pascal. Through their heartfelt pieces and powerful delivery, they reminded everyone that peace begins with the words we speak, the choices we make, and the kindness we extend to one another, inspiring the school community to become instruments of peace.
The program concluded with the recitation of the PEACE Pledge, led by SSLG President Zyraine Mae Pabon, reaffirming every learner's commitment to creating a safe, respectful, inclusive, and bully-free school where everyone is accepted, protected, and valued. The meaningful flow of the celebration, with the valuable contribution of SSLG Secretary Rovian Aile V. Omac, further reflected the spirit of unity, cooperation, and peace that the activity sought to promote.
Together, let us continue to nurture a culture of peace through our words, our actions, and our creativity. AGAPE every day! ♥️
