OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Good day everyone,

Please be informed that an individual is currently impersonating our School Principal, Dr. Erle Arbado, by creating a fake account and sending messages to several teachers, including Maโ€™am Mary Grace Geroche, in an attempt to obtain OTP (One-Time Password) information via WhatsApp.

We are also glad to inform everyone that access to the Doรฑa Hortencia page (DHSBNHS JHS) has already been restored.

In line with this, we strongly advise everyone to:

A. DO NOT entertain or respond to any suspicious messages from unverified or fake accounts
B. DO NOT share any personal information, passwords, or OTPs
C. Report immediately any similar incidents to the school administration

Please remain vigilant at all times to avoid unauthorized access and protect your accounts.

CONGRATULATIONS, Hortencians!

In this yearโ€™s Recognition Rites, Thanksgiving Ceremony, and Moving Up 2026, we gather in honor of the theme of the Department of Education: โ€œFilipino Graduates: Prepared to Lead with Competence and Character.โ€

But today, we are reminded that beyond competence and character lies something deeper, something quietly powerful, loob. In Sikolohiyang Pilipino, Virgilio G. Enriquez teaches us that loob is the essence of our humanity, the space within us where courage is born, where values are formed, and where our capacity to love, endure, and rise truly lives.

This day is more than a recognition of achievements. It is a celebration of every silent struggle, every sacrifice, every moment of doubt that was overcome by a stronger loob. It is proof that our learners did not just succeed, they persevered.

To our teachers and school leaders, you did not only teach lessons, you shaped lives. You believed, guided, and stood firm even when the journey was difficult.

To our dear parents, your sacrifices echo in every success we celebrate today. Your love has built the loob of your children, making them resilient, grounded, and hopeful. Because of you, Doรฑa Hortencia is not just a school, but a home, a family, and a community that carries each learner forward.

To our Grade 10 completers, as you leave the halls of Junior High School, you carry more than knowledge. You carry your loob, strengthened by every challenge you faced. Let it lead you with integrity, compassion, and purpose as you take your place in building a better world, in line with the vision of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Like a pencil, life will sharpen you through trials, correct you through mistakes, and shape you through experience. There will be moments when you feel worn down, but never forget this truth, the most important part of a pencil is what is inside. And so it is with you. Your greatest strength is your loob.

So go forward with courage and conviction.

Mangarap,
sumampalataya,
gumawa, at
patatagin ang iyong LOOB.
