🇵🇭NATIONAL RESERVIST WEEK 2026 CULMINATION CEREMONY

On 120800 September 2026, the Notre Dame of Marbel University Reserve Officers' Training Corps Unit (NDMU ROTCU) cadets participated via Zoom in the National Reservist Week 2026 Culmination Ceremony, joining fellow participants in recognizing the dedication, commitment, and service of Filipino reservists.

The virtual ceremony provided the cadets with valuable insights into the vital role of reservists and citizen-soldiers in national defense, community service, disaster response, and nation-building. It also emphasized the importance of discipline, preparedness, patriotism, leadership, and selfless service in fulfilling one's duty to the country.

Following the virtual activity, the cadets also conducted Basic Drills instructional training, facilitated by the 1st Class Cadets under the supervision of GMA. The training focused on the proper ex*****on of basic military movements, including correct posture, military bearing, alignment, coordination, and responsiveness to commands. The activity reinforced discipline, precision, synchronization, and teamwork among the cadets.

The conduct of both activities provided the cadets with meaningful learning experiences that strengthened their understanding of military discipline and the responsibilities of future citizen-soldiers. Through continuous training and participation in significant events, the cadets are further prepared to uphold the values of Honor, Duty, Discipline, and Service.

The NDMU ROTCU remains committed to developing disciplined, capable, and patriotic cadets who are prepared to serve the nation and contribute to the welfare of the Filipino people.

On 050800H September 2026, the Notre Dame of Marbel University Reserve Officers' Training Corps Unit (NDMU ROTCU) successfully conducted a Basic Drills instructional training for the cadets. The activity was facilitated by the 1st Class Cadets under the supervision of SGT. ALGEMS E AGAN (OS) PA, Assistant Chief Clerk and Training Staff GMA.

The training focused on the proper ex*****on of basic military drills, including correct posture, military bearing, alignment, and responsiveness to commands. Cadets were guided in performing each movement with precision, discipline, and synchronization.

The activity emphasized that basic drills are essential in developing discipline, obedience, coordination, and unity among cadets. Through the guidance of the 1st Class Cadets and the supervision of the Training Staff GMA, the training was conducted in an orderly manner while promoting teamwork, esprit de corps, and proper military conduct.

The successful conduct of the activity reflects the commitment of the NDMU ROTCU to develop disciplined, responsible, and capable citizen-soldiers. Through continuous training and adherence to military standards, cadets are prepared to uphold the values of honor, discipline, and service to the nation.

🇵🇭 NDMU ROTC UNIT | NATIONAL HEROES’ DAY COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP DRIVE

“Honoring Our Heroes Through Service to the Community.”

In celebration of National Heroes’ Day, the Notre Dame of Marbel University Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Unit (NDMU ROTCU) actively participated in a Community Clean-Up Drive held at Barangay San Roque, City of Koronadal.

The activity was conducted under the supervision of MAJ. DENNIE M. PAJEL (ARM) PA, Director, 1204th Community Defense Center (1204CDC), and facilitated by BRGY. CAPT. MARVIN “YAN YAN” GUMBAO.

The clean-up drive was organized as a meaningful way of commemorating National Heroes’ Day through community service, embodying the spirit of patriotism, selflessness, and service exemplified by the nation’s heroes. It also aimed to promote environmental responsibility, community involvement, discipline, and volunteerism among the participating cadets.

Through their active participation, the NDMU ROTC cadets demonstrated that honoring our heroes extends beyond remembering their sacrifices—it also means continuing their legacy of service, responsibility, and love for the community and the nation.

On 220800H August 2026, the Notre Dame of Marbel University Reserve Officers' Training Corps Unit (NDMU ROTCU) successfully conducted a formal lecture and instructional session on Parts and Identification of the M16 R***e and Military AFP Customs and Traditions, facilitated by SGT. ALGEMS E AGAN (OS) PA and SSG. EFREN P ABUACAN (RES) PA, under the supervision of SGT. ARIEL P ULITA (INF) PA, Chief Clerk of Notre Dame of Marbel University ROTC Unit. The training emphasized the vital role of weapon familiarity, technical knowledge, military discipline, and adherence to the established heritage and traditions expected of every soldier and ROTC cadet.

The lecture provided cadets with a comprehensive understanding of the main components and identification of the M16 r***e. It highlighted the importance of familiarizing oneself with the major assemblies, such as the upper receiver, lower receiver, bolt carrier group, and magazine group, alongside essential individual parts. Through detailed instruction, cadets were guided on how proper identification of parts contributes to safety, accurate maintenance, operational efficiency, and the development of competent citizen-soldiers.
The session also focused on Military AFP Customs and Traditions, reinforcing the importance of military courtesy, rendering proper salutes, respect for authority, adherence to the chain of command, and decorum in both military and civilian environments.

Cadets were reminded that these traditions reflect not only upon themselves but also upon their unit and the entire organization. Upholding these customs strengthens unit cohesion, esprit de corps, and the overall professionalism of a military unit.

As an essential component of ROTC instruction, Parts and Identification of the M16 R***e and Military AFP Customs and Traditions develops the foundation upon which practical military service is built. It instills in cadets the values of discipline, respect, responsibility, honor, and loyalty—qualities that prepare them to become dependable, capable, and proud citizen-soldiers committed to serving the nation with honor and professionalism.

Blood Donation Activity

The Notre Dame of Marbel University ROTC Unit (NDMU ROTCU) proudly joined the 10th Blood Donation Activity organized by the 1204th Community Defense Center (1204CDC), 12th Regional Community Defense Group (12RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RESCOM, PA) on 15 August 2026 at Koronadal City Hall.

In line with the celebration of the 43rd Founding Anniversary of RESCOM, PA, and under the leadership of MAJ DENIE M PAJEL (ARM) PA, Director, 1204CDC, 12RCDG, RESCOM, PA, the activity carried the theme “Ang Inyong Matatag na Tagapag-buo ng Laang Kawal.” The Notre Dame of Marbel University ROTC Unit actively joined Army reservists, volunteer donors, and partner organizations in this meaningful humanitarian initiative.

The participation of the NDMU ROTCU reflects its commitment to the values of service, discipline, volunteerism, and community involvement. Beyond military training, ROTC cadets are encouraged to take part in activities that promote public welfare and demonstrate the spirit of service to others.

Through initiatives such as blood donation, the Notre Dame of Marbel University ROTC Unit continues to stand with the community and contribute to a culture of compassion, civic responsibility, and “Service Before Self.”
