We thank Engr. Nerson D. BASCO of SDO Koronadal City - Education Support Services immediately responded and conducted an on-site inspection to ensure everything is under control.

As of now, repair of electrical wires is in progress and expected to be completed today.

The Department of Education wishes to address the recirculating April 2023 PTV News report regarding the proposed merger of Araling Panlipunan and MAPEH into "SIKAP."

We clarify that this news item reflects outdated discussions from 2023 and does not represent current policy. Furthermore, under the revised K to 10 Curriculum, Makabansa is a distinct, foundational learning area for Key Stage 1 (Grades 1 to 3)—it is NOT a combination or merger of Araling Panlipunan and MAPEH. Rather, it uses a holistic, transdisciplinary approach to foster self-awareness, cultural appreciation, and civic understanding in young learners. Starting in Grade 4, Araling Panlipunan and MAPEH (Music & Arts, PE & Health) continue to be taught as separate and distinct learning areas.

We urge the public to practice critical thinking, check context, and verify release dates before sharing content online.

FTDS ES welcomed the team from the Office of Civil Defense for the Post Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) following the 7.8 magnitude earthquake.

The team conducted a thorough inspection of our school facilities to determine damages and immediate needs.

Based on the assessment, the team recommends the replacement of 23 spans of our perimeter fence to ensure the safety and security of our learners and school community.

We thank the Office of Civil Defense for the prompt response and support. This assessment is a big step toward recovery and building a safer FTDS ES for our children.
