From student leadership to law enforcement, Abdulrahim Sultan continues to demonstrate that excellence is a lifelong pursuit.

A proud CMC BS Criminology alumnus, Sultan distinguished himself as a student leader, student ambassador, and media scholar of the Center for Marketing and Strategic Communications (CMSC).

His academic journey was further marked by victories in interschool academic research competitions.
Now serving as a Police Officer, he returns to his alma mater with the highest respect and gratitude for Dr. Rolando D. Poblador, Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education, and the professors who guided, mentored, and inspired him throughout his academic journey.

His return is more than a pursuit of another academic degree. It is a meaningful homecoming to the institution that helped shape his character, strengthen his professional aspirations, and prepare him for a life of leadership and public service.

Today, he marks another significant milestone as the FIRST OFFICIAL ENROLLEE of CMC’s Master of Science in Criminal Justice Education (MSCJE), with Specialization in Criminology!

His journey reflects the enduring connection between academic excellence, professional service, and lifelong learning.

Central Mindanao Colleges presents 𝗣𝗦𝗬𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, a seminar on financial literacy and responsible money management designed to help students prepare for the responsibilities of adulthood by managing personal finances with knowledge, discipline, and sound judgment.

As students build greater independence and prepare for future opportunities, financial literacy becomes an essential life competency. The seminar introduces practical perspectives on budgeting, saving, responsible spending, financial goal-setting, and making informed choices that can help young adults navigate work, income, personal responsibilities, and long-term financial planning.

More than learning how to manage money, 𝗣𝗦𝗬𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 encourages students to develop the mindset behind responsible financial behavior. It highlights the value of self-awareness, delayed gratification, disciplined decision-making, and understanding the consequences of everyday financial choices.

The activity recognizes that readiness for adulthood extends beyond academic achievement. It also requires the capacity to make practical, responsible, and sustainable decisions that protect personal well-being and support future aspirations.

Anchored on the theme 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵. 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲, the final research defense challenges student-researchers to demonstrate command of their studies, justify their methodological decisions, interpret evidence responsibly, and articulate how their findings may contribute to criminology, public safety, criminal justice practice, and community development.

More than a requirement for completion, 𝗝𝗣𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 represents the discipline of inquiry expected of future criminal justice professionals. It places emphasis on critical thinking, ethical research practice, evidence-based reasoning, academic integrity, and the ability to communicate findings with clarity and professional confidence.

Through scholarly examination and constructive academic discourse, the activity reinforces an important principle: effective criminal justice practice must be informed not only by experience, but also by credible evidence, careful analysis, and a deeper understanding of the realities affecting people and communities.
