On 𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙚 12, 1898, the Philippines declared its independence in 𝐊𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐭, 𝐂𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞, marking a historic milestone in our nation’s journey toward freedom. Today, we honor the courage and sacrifices of our heroes who fought for our liberty and remember that our freedom was earned through unity, resilience, and love for our country. In this time of uncertainty and recovery, we stand in prayer and solidarity with the Notre Dame of Dadiangas University community and all those affected by the recent earthquake in the SOCCSKSARGEN Region.

With grateful hearts for the gift of life and the safety of students and personnel, we remain steadfast in our faith, united in hope, and committed to supporting one another as we move forward together.

May the Good Mother continue to guide and protect us, and may Christ, the source of our peace, strengthen our hearts in the days ahead.

Today, we celebrate the Feast of St. Marcellin Champagnat, founder of the Marist Brothers, whose vision of education rooted in faith, compassion, and service continues to inspire generations.

Believing that every young person deserves to be loved and educated, St. Marcellin dedicated his life to forming hearts and minds through Christian values. His legacy lives on in Marist schools around the world, including our own, as we continue to nurture learners who lead with faith, humility, and a spirit of service.

As we honor his life and mission, may we be inspired to live out the Marist values of simplicity, family spirit, love of work, and presence.
