Cruz Pingkian High School buzzed with a similar kind of fiery passion as educators gathered for the District In-Service Training (INSET). Under the theme “Empowering Professional Educators: Upholding Child Protection, Ethical Conduct, and Excellence in Teaching Practice,” the dedicated teachers of Binalian Elementary School stepped forward as true craftsmen of human potential, eager to refine their trade and forge brighter futures for their learners.
The two-day gathering served as a masterclass in modern pedagogy and moral leadership. The opening day laid down the bedrock principles of safe learning environments, centering on child protection policies and anti-bullying measures led by Dr. Virginia B. Aroco. As the afternoon progressed, District In-Charge Dr. Onofre M. Molina and Dr. Saturnino P. Calansi reminded every educator that true excellence begins with integrity, embodying social grace and unwavering professional ethics in and out of the classroom. For the teachers of Binalian ES, these foundational sessions reinforced the sacred duty of safeguarding every child placed under their care.
As the second day dawned, the focus shifted toward modernizing the educator's toolkit. Principal Marites B. Esnara guided participants through the dynamic frontier of leveraging ICT and responsible artificial intelligence for effective curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment. Hands-on workshops saw teachers collaborating across key stages to build PPST-aligned learning experiences, integrating innovative digital tools while maintaining educational integrity. Head Teacher Garlymayne C. Pitlongay capped off the technical sessions by deepening their understanding of the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers, sharpening every practitioner’s ability to deliver quality instruction.
