The fourth-year education students of the College of Teacher Education, Arts & Sciences (CTEAS) of FBC, from both the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) and Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) programs, participated in the 2nd Negros Island and Siquijor Region Student Teachers Summit and Classroom-Based Action Research (CBAR) Congress held at Silliman University, Dumaguete City, on August 22.

Consequently, FBC received a special citation for being the third-largest contingent among the participating schools. The recognition highlighted the school’s strong support and the students’ enthusiasm and willingness to participate in the event.

With the guidance of Ma’am Fepsie Gonzaga and Ma’am Angel Mae Balansag, the students took part in the event and gained valuable knowledge and experiences that can help prepare them for their future careers as educators.

The event provided a meaningful opportunity for future educators to learn more about teaching, classroom-based research, and research proposal writing. Through this participation, the students gained insights and experiences that will help them become competent and prepared future educators.

On August 22, 2026, the fourth-year BSEd and BEEd student teachers of Fellowship Baptist College participated in the 2nd Negros Island and Siquijor Region Student Teachers’ Summit and Classroom-Based Action Research Congress at Silliman University, Dumaguete City.

The event provided a meaningful opportunity for future educators to learn, connect, and gain valuable insights as they continue their journey toward the teaching profession.

Throughout this meaningful experience, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ma’am 𝙁𝙚𝙥𝙨𝙞𝙚 𝙅𝙤𝙮 𝙂𝙤𝙣𝙯𝙖𝙜𝙖 and Ma’am 𝘼𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙡 𝙈𝙖𝙚 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙖𝙜 for being with us throughout the journey. Your presence and support made this experience even more meaningful. 💙

For one day, let's leave our college responsibilities behind and bring back the First Day High we once knew. “𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙤 𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙙𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧.” — 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼 “𝙉𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙮” 𝘼𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙤 𝗝𝗿.

He showed that real courage is not the absence of fear, but choosing to act despite it. Ninoy Aquino Day, observed every August 21, is a reminder that freedom comes with responsibility. The country he died for is the same country we are now tasked to protect, build, and serve.

The 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝘽𝙀𝙀𝙙) and 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 (𝘽𝙎𝙀𝙙) students officially took their first step into their pre-service teaching journey through Field Study (FS1 and FS2). As part of their classroom observation, the students engaged with actual teaching-learning environments and gained firsthand insights into the practice of education.
