The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) is expanding its academic offerings with the introduction of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), which will be offered beginning Academic Year 2026–2027 after the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office XII granted the program a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC).

The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) officially opened its observance of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month 2026 through a special convocation program held on Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Administration Building of USM in Kabacan, Cotabato.

As part of the convocation, Dr. Lawrence Anthony U. Dollente, chairperson of the USM- Anti-Red Tape Act (ARTA), explained the meaning behind the campaign logo and its three-tiered design representing connectivity, transparency, accountability, and integrity in public service. He also explained the importance of compassionate and committed service in every transaction within the university.

[𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦] The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) joined the nation in celebrating the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month with its launching held today, May 18, 2026 during the Monday Convocation Program at the Administration Building, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.

During the EODB month the front line offices of USM namely, Admission and Records Office (ARO), Accounting Office, and Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO) offer fast lanes for specific transactions. Kindly visit their official pages for the details.

In connection with the EODB Month 2026, the USM Accounting Office will implement a Fast Lane to streamline the processing of CERTIFICATIONS of Net Take Home Pay.

The Fast Lane will be available from May 18, 2026 to May 21, 2026 only.

𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞:
8:00 AM – 12:00 NN
1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Please be informed that all requests processed through the Fast Lane shall be released on the same day, with an estimated transaction time of five (5) minutes per transaction, provided that the applicant presents a verified payslip from HRMDO and an official payment receipt from the Cashier’s Office.

𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞: This Fast Lane is strictly for Certification of Net Take Home Pay requests only.

Representative from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Fisheries paid a courtesy visit to the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) on May 12, 2026, at the Office of the President, Administration Building, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.

The visit was conducted in line with the hybrid inspection and monitoring activity for the university’s Bachelor of Science in Fisheries program under the College of Agriculture.
