𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 (𝐃𝐂𝐎𝐬)

In an ongoing effort to strengthen the University's document management processes, the University Quality Assurance Office-Document Control Center, hosted an orientation for newly appointed Document Control Officers (DCOs). This orientation is designed to provide them with a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities within both Core and Support Units, while also offering an overview of University procedures, forms, and records. This also aimed to foster greater operational efficiency and ensure the highest standards of quality and accountability in document control.

𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐎𝐖 | The University Quality Assurance Office (UQAO) is holding an orientation on CHED Memorandum Order No. 10, which outlines the Policies and Standards for Centers of Excellence (COE).

The session is led by Dr. Lawrence Anthony U. Dollente, UQAO Director, and joined by Dr. Leorence C. Tandog, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Leonard M. Paleta, Director for Instruction, together with the College Deans and Department Chairpersons.

The discussion focuses on guiding the university’s academic programs, particularly those aspiring for Center of Excellence status toward meeting CHED’s quality standards.

This meaningful gathering reflects the university’s shared commitment to continuous improvement, teamwork, and a strong culture of excellence that ensures every program remains responsive and relevant to the needs of students and the community.

𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 | On the occasion of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Day, the University Quality Assurance Office extends its warmest congratulations to its Director, Dr. Lawrence Anthony U. Dollente, for marking 15 years of dedicated service in the University.

This milestone is made even more meaningful by his recent back-to-back recognition, having been named Outstanding Administrative Supervisor during the Gabi ng Parangal 2025.

His integrity, commitment, and pursuit of excellence continue to inspire the personnel of the Office in carrying out their shared responsibilities. His leadership and unwavering support strengthen not only the UQAO but also the University as a whole.

The University Quality Assurance Office takes pride in celebrating this significant achievement with him.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | UQAO Receives Recognition at Gabi ng Parangal 2025

The University Quality Assurance Office (UQAO) was conferred the Outstanding Administrative Unit Award during the Gabi ng Parangal 2025 of the University of Southern Mindanao, a recognition of its steadfast commitment to service, integrity, and excellence.

Further highlighting the occasion, Dr. Lawrence Anthony U. Dollente, UQAO Director, was named Outstanding Administrative Supervisor, while Prof. Bryan Lloyd P. Bretaña, Director of the Office of International Affairs, received a Special Award in acknowledgment of OIA’s accomplishments in recent years.

The recognition likewise honored the dedication of UQAO personnel: Dr. Concepcion E. Magallon, Ms. Laksni E. Catubay, Mr. Renante P. Montero, Ms. Haidy H. Malacad, Ms. Justine Mae B. Molina, and Mr. Gauvin Adlaon, whose exemplary service continues to strengthen the University’s culture of excellence.

The Office extends its sincere gratitude to the University of Southern Mindanao for its unwavering support in advancing institutional growth and distinction in both academic and administrative endeavors.

All forty-four (44) undergraduate programs of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) now hold Certificates of Program Compliance (COPC), following the recent approval of two programs—BS in Microbiology and BS in Veterinary Technology. These programs received their COPCs after the Board of Regents (BOR) meeting held on September 18, 2025, at the University Commercial Building, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.
