The Association of Veterinary Medical Students

The Association of Veterinary Medical Students (AVMS), is the official college society of the University of Southern Mindanao.

The AVMS espouses to the following principles:

a. Help educate and contribute to the growth of its members to be competent in the field veterinary medicine.

b. To be able to instill social, intellectual, interpersonal and leadership skills to its members as well as its governing body.

c. To produce members who are reliable, responsible, globally competitive, culture sensitive and competent.

b The AVMS at all times shall strive to:

a. Defend and promote the general welfare of its members and the community.

b. Serve as an active forum for the member’s ideas and sentiments.

c. Erase discrimination by promoting a sense of oneness among the members being part of the AVMS.

d. Uphold the ideas of the college geared towards ensuring a well-rounded, intellectual, social, cultural, moral, spiritual and physical development of every member.

e. Develop social awareness and instill national consciousness.

f. Unite its members in the pursuit of common interests, particularly in the field of animal and public health.

g. Development a sense of service and responsibility among the members for the welfare of the college and the university.

h. Develop responsible members who will put their knowledge to optimal use and look after the unity and welfare of the members and the community.

i. Seek and engender educational reforms through nationalistic, humanistic, and scientific means, for the full development of the humane potential to responsibility.
