Agnes, PhD, President of the Philippine Political Science Association (PPSA)! As the leading organization of political scientists in the country, the PPSA continues to champion the growth and development of political science education and scholarship across the Philippines.

We are beyond grateful for this gesture of solidarity and support from one of the most distinguished leaders in Philippine political science. To every delegate, and to everyone who was part of this summit, let this message serve as a reminder of why we gatherโ€”to learn, to grow, and to reimagine what it means to serve our communities and our nation through the ideals that political science has taught us to uphold.

The USM Political Science Dance Troupe takes the spotlight for an intermission performance, followed by various electrifying performances from the other competing institutions.

Followed by a quirky and funny dance battle of students from the participating institutionsโ€” marking their solidarity as one SOX community.

Sultan Kudarat State University is the Government and Mindanao State University - General Santos City is the Opposition. The motion for the grand finals is: This House believes that the Philippines, in its best interest, should cut ties with the USA to explore other options of economic and defensive prosperity.

Meanwhile, now happening: the third round of the Asian Parliamentary Debate is currently underway, with the winning team set to advance directly to the grand finals.

University of Southern Mindanao once again takes the floor as the Government, facing Sultan Kudarat State University as the Opposition. The motion for this round reads: Assuming that Parker consented to his own death, This House believes that Captain Dudleyโ€™s actions were morally justified.

Multiple competitions are now in full swing across the summit venues.

Quiz Bowl, Extemporaneous Speaking, and Argumentative Essay Writing are currently taking place at the CBDEM-LED Building. The Amazing Race has officially kicked off, with participants racing across the USM grounds. Meanwhile, the Vocal Solo competition is ongoing at the USM Commercial Building.

The second round of the Asian Parliamentary Debate is also underway, featuring University of Southern Mindanao as the Government and Mindanao State University as the Opposition. The motion for this round reads: This House believes that the regional minimum wage system in the Philippines should be abolished.

The summitโ€™s competition proper has officially begun!

The Informative Video-Making and Asian Parliamentary Debate has commenced at the USM Commercial Building, second floor.
Three official entries have been showcased in the Informative Video-Making category: Kinsa Man Jud? by the University of Southern Mindanao, A Day in the Life of an MSUan Boarder: Namalengke Edition by Mindanao State University, and SUHOL by Sultan Kudarat State University.

Meanwhile, the first round of the Asian Parliamentary Debate featured a face-off between Mindanao State University as the Government and Sultan Kudarat State University as the Opposition.

The Poster-Making Competition and Policy-Making is also now currently occurring at the same building venue.

Other competitions will be posted in a while.

The sixth SOX Political Science Summit continues its official program kickoff with a special performance from the USM Bidadali Group.

This was followed by an exceptional guest address from this yearโ€™s esteemed speaker, Nassef Manabilang Adiong, PhD, introduced by Department of Political Science faculty member Rowell P. Nitafan.

After Adiongโ€™s insightful talk, a meaningful discussion was ensued. Making students engaged and had the chance to ask questions to the guest speaker.

Delegates and participants are now set to proceed with the concurrent events. Please be guided by your respective competition venues.
