I never thought sewing would teach me so much beyond making clothes. 🪡

It taught me to be patient, to accept mistakes, and to keep trying even when something doesn't turn out the way I imagined.

And the funny part?

Sewing wasn't something I always wanted to do.

But little by little, I learned to enjoy it.

Maybe that's how some passions begin—not because we planned for them, but because we gave ourselves a chance to try. 🤍

🧵 I Didn't Dream of Becoming a Dressmaker...

If I'm being honest...

Growing up, I never imagined that sewing would become such a big part of my life.

As a child, the sound of the sewing machine was something I heard almost every day because that's how our family made a living.

Back then, I only knew sewing as my mom's work.

I watched clothes being measured, cut, pinned, and sewn for different customers. It was simply part of our daily routine.

When I entered high school and took Dressmaking, everything slowly changed.

What started as school projects eventually became real clothes for real people.

Little by little, I realized...

There's something special about creating a piece of clothing from a flat piece of fabric.

It's not always easy.

Sometimes I still make mistakes.

Sometimes I have to remove stitches and sew them again.

But every finished piece reminds me that learning takes patience.

Looking back, I'm grateful I didn't give up.

Because today, sewing is no longer just something I learned.

It's something I've grown to love.

And now, I hope to share that same experience with anyone who wants to start their own sewing journey.

🤍 I've Been Quietly Working on Something...

For the past few weeks...

Whenever I wasn't in school...

Or helping in our family dressmaking shop...

I've been spending my free time working on something very close to my heart.

Something I honestly wish I had when I was just starting to learn sewing.

Growing up in a dressmaking shop taught me many things.

Some lessons came from watching.

Some came from making mistakes.

And some came from patiently learning beside my mom.

Little by little...

I started writing everything down.

The beginner-friendly tips.

The simple explanations.

The lessons I wish someone had explained to me in a way that wasn't overwhelming.

Because I realized...

Maybe there are people out there who are exactly where I once was.

Curious.

Interested.

But unsure where to begin.

So I decided to create something that I hope will make that first step a little easier.

I'm not ready to share everything just yet...

But I'm so excited to finally let you see it very soon. 🤍

Thank you for being here from the beginning.

Paano ko binabalance ang work at pag-aaral? 🤍

Hindi ko sasabihin na madali.

May mga araw na kailangan kong magtrabaho kahit may kailangan akong tapusin sa school. May times din na pagod na ako pero kailangan ko pa ring mag-aral.

Dati, gusto kong matapos lahat in one day. Pero natutunan ko na hindi pala kailangan.

Ang ginagawa ko ngayon:

✨ Inuuna ko kung ano ang pinaka-importanteng task.
✨ Gumagawa ako ng simple schedule.
✨ Kapag pagod na talaga, nagpapahinga ako nang walang guilt.
✨ Hindi ko kino-compare ang progress ko sa iba.
✨ At pinaka-importante, consistent ako kahit maliit lang ang progress.

Hindi perfect ang balance everyday.

Minsan work muna.
Minsan studies muna.
Minsan pahinga muna.

Ang importante, hindi ako sumusuko sa goals ko. 🤍

Kung ikaw din ay nagwo-work habang nag-aaral, kaya natin 'to. One day at a time. 🫶
