SuluSU Laboratory High School Participates in the 2026 Principal Circle of the Philippines Annual Convention
The Sulu State University Laboratory High School proudly participated in the Principal Circle of the Philippines Annual Convention held on September 16–17, 2026, at Bayview Park Hotel, Manila. The convention brought together school principals, education leaders, administrators, and educators from different parts of the country to strengthen professional collaboration, share experiences, and discuss relevant issues and developments in educational leadership and school administration.
Representing the Sulu State University Laboratory High School were Asst. Prof. Warid S. Ibno, Principal, and Mr. Bernie A. Humuad, Faculty. Their participation in the convention provided a valuable opportunity to engage with fellow education professionals, gain insights into effective school leadership and management practices, and learn from the experiences and best practices shared during the event.
Throughout the two-day convention, the participants actively took part in the various activities and sessions organized by the Asian Psychological Services and Assessment Inc. (APSA). The discussions and presentations provided meaningful perspectives on the current challenges and opportunities in school leadership, professional development, educational management, and the continuing improvement of teaching and learning in schools.
The participation of the Sulu State University Laboratory High School representatives also served as an avenue for professional networking and collaboration. It allowed the participants to establish connections with other school leaders and educators, exchange ideas and experiences, and explore practices that may contribute to the continuous improvement of the school’s programs and services.
The knowledge, insights, and experiences gained from the convention are expected to contribute to the participants’ continuing professional development and to the enhancement of administrative and instructional practices at the Sulu State University Laboratory High School. The learnings may likewise be shared with the faculty and staff to encourage collaborative professional growth and support the University's commitment to quality education.
The participants would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, University President of Sulu State University, for her full support, encouragement, and assistance in making their participation in the Principal Circle of the Philippines Annual Convention possible. Her continued support for the professional development of the University’s personnel reflects her commitment to strengthening the capabilities of administrators, faculty members, and staff. Such support provides valuable opportunities for personnel to participate in professional activities that enhance their knowledge, skills, leadership, and commitment to excellence in education. The participants are likewise grateful to the Sulu State University administration for the trust and support extended to them. The opportunity to represent the University in a national professional convention is both an honor and a responsibility, and the participants remain committed to applying and sharing the knowledge gained for the benefit of the Sulu State University Laboratory High School and the University as a whole.
