We proudly congratulate the 71 newly Registered Nurses of Sulu State University who successfully passed the recent Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination (PNLE).

Sulu State University proudly celebrates this remarkable achievement, with an overall passing rate of 80.68%.

This accomplishment reflects the dedication, perseverance, and commitment of our nursing graduates, whose hard work and determination have brought pride and honor to the University.

CONGRATULATIONS | SuluSU Recommended for ISO 9001:2015 Recertification

Following the successful completion of the three-day ISO 9001:2015 External Re-Certification Audit conducted from August 25 to 27, 2026, Sulu State University (SuluSU) has been recommended for ISO 9001:2015 Recertification by SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc.

Based on the results of the external audit, SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. acknowledged the University’s successful implementation of the requirements for certification in accordance with the applicable International Standard(s).

The successful audit outcome reflects the collective efforts of the University’s faculty and staff, process owners, and the SuluSU Quality Management Core Team, whose dedication, cooperation, and commitment contributed significantly to the successful conduct of the external audit.

SuluSU likewise recognizes the leadership of University President Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, whose direction and commitment to quality management have continued to strengthen the University’s pursuit of excellence and continual improvement.

The University extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to the SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. audit team, led by Lead Auditor Richard Bacomo, together with Ma. Janica Verlaine Despuig, for their professionalism, guidance, and valuable insights throughout the three-day assessment.

HOLIDAY ADVISORY

Pursuant to the following Proclamations and Presidential Decrees:

1. Proclamation No. 1006, s. 2025.
August 21, 2026 (Friday) is designated as a Special Non-Working Holiday throughout the Philippines in observance of Ninoy Aquino Day.

2. Presidential Decree No. 1083.
August 26, 2026 (Wednesday) is recognized as a Muslim Legal Holiday in observance of Maulud (Mawlid) an-Nabi.
The Muslim holiday shall be officially observed in the provinces of Sulu, North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Basilan, Tawi-Tawi, Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Lanao del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga del Norte, and Zamboanga Sibugay, and in the cities of Kidapawan, Tacurong, Marawi, Pagadian, Iligan, and Cotabato City.

3. Proclamation No. 1006, s. 2025.
August 31, 2026 (Monday) is National Heroes Day, a regular holiday observed on the last Monday of August, pursuant to Republic Act No. 9492 and Proclamation No. 1006, s. 2025.
National Heroes Day is observed annually on the last Monday of August; therefore, in 2026, it falls on August 31, 2026 (Monday).

𝗣𝗔𝗛𝗔𝗧𝗜

Effective August 20, 2026, all old/continuing students are required to wear the prescribed school uniform while inside the University premises.

Freshies are advised to bring their Certificate of Registration (COR) upon entry to the University and must observe the prescribed dress code by wearing proper, decent, and appropriate attire.

All students are expected to comply with this policy. Non-compliance may be subject to appropriate guidance and action in accordance with the Student Manual.
