Topic: Schools which have NOT withheld tax on their GSIS Building Insurance
(This is especially addressed to our District Bookkeepers 😉)

Per Sir Elmar, if ever daw wala naka-withheld ug tax ang school in their GSIS
Building Insurance, okay ra daw FinFam. Ayaw lang daw ipa-refund.

Rather, i-REMIND lang nato atong schools na NEXT TIME, mag-withheld na.
To our SCHOOLS, mag-withheld gihapon. As WITHHOLDING AGENT, it is our
duty to withheld taxes po. 😊

Division Unnumbered Memo. NON-WITHHOLDING OF TAX ON REIMBURSEMENT OF COMMUNICATION EXPENSE

Good day!

I hope each of you and your families are healthy and well.

Please see unnumbered memo below stating to NO longer withhold tax for Communications Expense Reimbursement. With emphasis on the word 'Expense'.

Division Memorandum No. 166 entitled, Withholding Taxes on Taxable Transactions for Reimbursement except for the above transaction still STANDS.

Meaning, if the transaction DOES NOT fall under Communications Expense Reimbursement, mag-WITHHOLD gihapon ug tax.

To ensure effective and efficient utilization and reporting of financial resources; facilitate the early closing of books of accounts; and submit on time FY 2021 year-end financial accountability reports to the DBM, COA and DepEd CO and RO, the field is hereby informed of the various cut-off/deadlines for the submission of financial requests, claims, reports and other related transaction for FY 2021.
