The Symposium on the Community-Based Anti-Illegal Drugs Advocacy (CBAIDA) aims to raise awareness about the harmful effects of illegal drugs and the importance of preventing drug abuse in our communities. Through this activity, participants gain knowledge and understanding about the dangers of illegal drugs and how they affect individuals, families, and society. It encourages everyone to become responsible and active in promoting a safe and drug-free environment. 🚫💊

This symposium also emphasizes the power of unity and cooperation within the community. By working together—students, leaders, and community members—we can strengthen our efforts to protect the youth and guide them toward a better future. Student representatives of Antagan National High School actively participated in the 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, joining fellow youth of Tumauini in a day of learning, awareness, and leadership. Guided by the theme “𝐓𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐢 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧, 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝: 𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦, 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞, 𝐀𝐜𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐞𝐝!”, the activity encouraged students to know their rights, protect one another, and take part in building a safer community.

Isa sa mga tampok na bahagi ng Bida sa Lakad Kontra Droga ang mensaheng ibinahagi ni DDB Chairperson Secretary Oscar Valenzuela, na nagbigay-pansin sa mahalagang papel ng mamamayan, lalo na ng kabataan, sa paghubog ng ligtas at maayos na komunidad.

Pinasalamatan ng Kalihim ang Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Mandaluyong sa pamumuno ni Mayor Carmelita Abalos, pati si Former DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos, at ang lahat ng lumahok sa Unity Walk. Para sa kanya, ang sama-samang presensiya ng komunidad ay malinaw na patunay ng kanilang dedikasyon sa pagpapatibay ng mga gawain ng DAPC Week.

Ipinunto niya na ang pagdiriwang ng DAPC Week ay paalala sa tungkuling pangalagaan ang kabataan at pamilya sa araw-araw na buhay. Binanggit niya na ang pag-iwas sa droga ay nakasalalay sa mga pagpiling ginagawa ng bawat isa at sa pagtutulungan ng mga sektor ng lipunan. Kinilala niya ang kabataan, mga magulang, mga g**o at komunidad na patuloy na nakikibahagi sa layuning ito.

Pinasalamatan din niya ang mga organizers sa kanilang pagsisikap na maisakatuparan ang makabuluhang pagtitipong nagpapalakas sa diwa ng DAPC Week 2025.

Ang mensahe ng Kalihim ay paalala na ang laban kontra droga ay hindi natatapos sa isang aktibidad. Ito ay tuloy-tuloy na pagkilos na nangangailangan ng pagkakaisa, malasakit at paninindigan para sa kinabukasan ng bawat Pilipino.

As the deadline draws near, the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) reminds all aspiring young artists to submit their entries for the Nationwide Digital Poster-Making Competition on or before November 10, 2025 (Monday, 5:00 PM PST).

Held in celebration of the Drug Abuse Prevention and Control (DAPC) Week 2025, the competition offers Filipino youth aged 16–25 a platform to creatively express their advocacy for a Bagong Pilipinas that values health, empathy, and shared responsibility. Guided by this year’s theme, “Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Kalusugan ay Pinapahalagahan, Droga ay Inaayawan,” participants are encouraged to create artworks that inspire others to embrace wellness and compassion as foundations of positive change.

The Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) invites young Filipino artists, students and out-of-school youth aged 16 to 25, to take part in the Nationwide Digital Poster-Making Competition in celebration of the 2025 Drug Abuse Prevention and Control (DAPC) Week.

This competition transforms art into advocacy. Each digital poster becomes a statement of hope, health, and unity—an expression of how the youth can lead the movement toward a Bagong Pilipinas that chooses well-being over substance use, compassion over indifference, and creativity over apathy.
