📢 FREE BOSH SO1 TRAINING FOR MICRO AND SMALL ENTERPRISES IN ISABEL, LEYTE! 🦺

Are you an owner or worker of a REGISTERED Micro or Small Enterprise (MSE) in Isabel, Leyte? Take this opportunity to undergo a FREE 10-hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Safety Officer 1 (SO1) Training Course!

This training is a collaborative initiative of the Department of Industrial Engineering – VSU-Isabel, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Occupational Safety and Health Regional Extension Unit VIII (OSH-REU VIII), and the Local Government Unit of Isabel.

In Photos | CAREER READINESS AND JOB PLACEMENT TALK 2026

To equip students with essential knowledge and skills for a successful transition from the academe to the workforce, the PESO and Career Services Office of Visayas State University Isabel successfully conducted the Career Readiness and Job Placement Talk 2026 last July 10, 2026 at the VSUI Gymnasium.

Held four days before the graduation of the Class of 2026, the activity gathered students from the University's different faculties and departments for a series of informative sessions focused on employment opportunities, labor standards, and job interview preparedness. The program also served as a preparatory session for the upcoming Joint Job Fair of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Isabel and VSU Isabel on July 16, 2026.

The program featured Ms. Mary Jane B. Abenoja, Labor and Employment Officer I and Employment Focal Person of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Office VIII – West Leyte Field Office, who discussed Understanding the Labor Market, Job Search and Placement Opportunities and General Labor Standards. Her sessions provided students with valuable insights into the current labor market, employment prospects, and workers' rights and responsibilities. Meanwhile, Mrs. Sharymae R. Gonzaga, Head of the Human Resource Management and Development Office of Visayas State University Isabel, shared practical insights on Job Interview Readiness, helping students build confidence and develop effective strategies for navigating the recruitment process.

VSU Isabel continues to strengthen its commitment to producing competent, career-ready graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to thrive in the evolving world of work.
